Jess was roommates with Katie senior year of college at Biola, and almost ten years later they still quote the same shows and make the same jokes, and Jess is still as fiercely loving and loyal as she was back then. Jess now lives out of state in Colorado with her husband, daughter, and one more on the way! Fun fact: Jess has a Build-a-Bear with Katie's voice singing to her. It's quite frightening.
Sarah Axen
Matron of Honor
Sarah started dating Katie's college carpool buddy (and eventually married him), not knowing that this would lead to a lifelong friendship. Now she's got two kids of her own and a life up in Thousand Oaks, but they are still just as close as back in the day. Fun fact: on 24 hour's notice, Sarah did Katie's hair for her original wedding day.
Jennifer Lauthen
Bridesmaid
There were a few times Jennifer gave David a ride home from school his freshman year of high school, and one or two of those times she also drove home David's friend, Katie. Like the rest of us, she was unaware that 15 years later the two of them would become sisters-in-law, but what a wonderful surprise that has been. Fun fact: Jennifer was the only bridesmaid able to be in-person at the wedding, and she flew out for it!
Haily Osterhaus

Haily was a freshman when Katie was an RA at Biola, and through mutual friends they ended up Christmas shopping together that year even though they hardly knew each other. Haily is a bold when it comes to friendships, and it was the catalyst of a friendship that has spanned the last decade and included each other's marriages, a birth, and lots of deep conversations. Fun fact: Haily was one of three bridesmaids who was able to drive down to Carlsbad last-minute to be with Katie as she got ready on her wedding day.
Chloe Dingwall
Bridesmaid
Chloe had been in one of Katie's small groups at church, and the first year after she graduated she invited Katie into her family's home for football games, dinners, and just to have some community. That house became a second home, and Chloe became like a sister and has remained that way. Fun fact: Chloe was one of the bridesmaids who helped plan the surprise drive-by car parade for Katie and David's wedding last year!
