EN: Most of you know that we work in sustainability and animal welfare and eat mostly vegetarian or vegan meals. This is because we believe that our current intensive animal farming industry is highly destructive to our climate, water, land and health. One way to do our part is to bring our values to our wedding: by reversing the current system that consists of menus 90% animal products and 10% vegetarian options. Therefore, we are offering a menu that is -- by default -- vegetarian, with an option to choose meat. We hope you will support our efforts.
EN: In Spanglish! Just kidding, but there will for sure be some Spanglish :P To be honest, most people will speak Spanish, but we will print translations of the speeches from Spanish to English and vice versa so you can get sappy the whole time. ES: ¡En espanglés! Es broma, pero seguro que habrá algo de espanglés :P Creemos que la mayoría de la gente hablará español, pero imprimiremos traducciones de los discursos del inglés al español y viceversa para que te emociones todo el rato.

Zaragoza is a very walkable city. We suggest checking out old town where you will find the cathedral, Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar. Outside the cathedral is the main plaza, with the ancient Roman ruins and the central market (Mercado Central) on one end, and the Catheral del Salvador (La Seo) on the other end. You can get tickets to go up the Basilica's tower for a panaramic view of the city (Torre de San Francisco de Borja) or combined tickets for La Seo and the tower. Check out catedraldezaragoza.es for tickets and times. In the evening, when you get hungry or thirsty, check out "El Tubo", an area filled with tapas and drinks. For an amazing view, walk to the middle of the bridge, Puente de Piedra, and check out Pilar from there! Please note that in Spain, lunch is around 2pm (many places do not serve food until 1pm) and dinner is at 10pm (many places do not open until 8pm). The typical schedule is breakfast (bread with tomato, or pan con tomate) and coffee with milk (cafe con leche) around 10 or 11am, then lunch at 2pm, then a coffee/dessert at 6pm, then drinks at 8pm followed by dinner/tapas. Many places close in the afternoon between 4 and 6pm, so plan accordingly! If you want to be like a local, go for a vermut before lunch. If you are staying longer, the biggest, best week-long party in Zaragoza starts on October 5, where you will see free concerts every night and other activities very typical of the city. The main event is on October 12, where everyone dresses up in their traditional clothing and does an offering. If you would like to see other parts of Spain, we highly recommend these cities: Granada, Malaga and Sevilla are all in the South and would make a nice trip through Andalucia. You get some beach (Malaga) and lots of tapas and flamenco (Granada and Sevilla).
