Tix4tonight offers discounted tickets the day of a show. It has been my experience to wait until arriving in Vegas to buy show tickets as you can usually find deals. (Not true for events/shows which sell out on a regular basis)
The High Roller Wheel
Between the Stratosphere Observation Area and the High Roller Wheel, I recommend the High Roller Wheel. I enjoyed the views and thought the experience was a lot of fun (also can get an open bar cab for the ride). The con is the ride is 30 mins and you are in with groups of other people. The pros of the Stratosphere are there is no time limit to the observation and the experience is similar to the Space Needle (you go up in an elevator but are in an open area for the viewing). The Eiffel Tower also offers an observation deck with views of the city and surrounding landscape.
