Our Story
Alex and David met in early 2022 after connecting online—like many gay men in DC—with appropriately managed expectations.
Their first date at a Mexican-Salvadoran restaurant in DC got off to a memorable start when David promptly spilled his water on Alex. Fortunately, the rest went much better. Alex was charmed by David’s humor and outlook on life, while David was impressed by Alex’s worldliness. They quickly bonded over a shared love of travel.
Since then, they’ve explored Indonesia, Honduras, P-Town, Palm Springs, and plenty of places in between. This fall brings their biggest adventure yet: Alex joins the Foreign Service, while David proudly takes on the title of Diplomat’s Husband. No matter where in the world life takes them, they’re happiest exploring it together.
