Travel Note
The North Lake Tahoe Express is an option besides car rental for getting from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport to various locations and hotels in North Lake Tahoe. Check out their schedule and routes and book a seat in advance.
Travel Note
Parking at the venue is extremely limited and the area will be busy that time of year. We highly recommend taking lake transit, rideshare, a taxi or carpooling to get around. The free TART (Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transportation) bus drops off right in front of the venue, has many stops around the north side of the lake and its Main Line and the on-demand TART Connect shuttle have late night hours. Find their summer schedule at the link.
Travel Note
If you choose to drive to our wedding, please keep in mind that parking next to the venue itself is limited. The parking lot is shared with Kings Beach State Recreation Area, and it'll be busy in August. If you do park in that lot, there is a $10 fee. We recommend parking at one of the six public parking lots (also $10 fee) in the town of Kings Beach or street parking. The town is quite small, so everything is within a 15-20 minute walk!
Shuttle
August 6, 2022 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
We are providing a shuttle van to take people to the venue. The shuttle company is called Tahoe Elite and will have a sign that says "A & D Wedding.” The parking lot is in Tahoe Vista, which is just west of Kings Beach. The lot is located on National Avenue just off Highway 28 (North Lake Boulevard). There is a sign that says "Tahoe Vista Recreation Area". Parking will be free for our guests on Saturday. The shuttle holds 11 people. It runs to the venue every 15-20 minutes between 3-6:30 p.m., and then back from the venue between 9-11 p.m., so please plan accordingly.
Travel Note
We'd recommend staying on the north shore of Lake Tahoe or in Truckee: - Transport: free lake transit, rideshare, taxis, walking - Lodging: smaller nice motels and inns, some larger traditional hotels, many condos/AirBNBs/VRBOs/Vacasa Also an option—South Lake Tahoe and Reno - Transport: Drive yourself or take rideshare/taxi to the venue, up to 1 hour (see Parking note) - Lodging: variety and range of traditional hotels
Flight
Reno-Tahoe International Airport is the closest major airport to Kings Beach. Flying into RNO, you can either take a paid/hotel shuttle or rent a vehicle to a hotel on the lake shore. It is about a one-hour drive to Kings Beach and most other locations on the east (Nevada) side of the lake.
