Historic Downtown McKinney
Check out the *historic* Downtown Mckinney for some great shopping, vintage thrifting, and yummy restaurants! It's a charming, nostalgic square and there is always something happening! Be sure to stop by Miruku Creamery for some Japanese ice cream.
Adriatica Village
A 45-acre Croatian village in the middle of McKinney's Stonebridge Ranch development. Home of The Guitar Sanctuary (where you'll also find the Love Life Market) and The Sanctuary entertainment/event venue, multiple restaurants, shops, offices, and residential options throughout the village. Also home to the bell tower and Bella Donna Chapel. Step into the Mediterranean at Adriatica.
Hutchins BBQ
Texas is known for its BBQ and so we have to recommend the award-winning Hutchins Barbecue. Free banana pudding and peach cobbler if you eat in the restaurant. Fun fact: They invented the famous "Texas Twinkie"!
TUPPS Brewery
If you are looking to try some locally brewed craft beer or some amazing freshly made chips, TUPPS has it all! It is the perfect place to hang out after a stroll in Downtown Mckinney and it's even better if you go with a group to play the games outside!
Buc-ee's
If you are wondering if everything in Texas is actually bigger, we encourage you to head to Buccee's. Yes, it is a gas station but it is massive and is the perfect spot to pick up several Texas themed souvenirs! Also, be sure to try their BBQ sandwiches, beef jerky, and any baked good. If you're lucky, maybe you will get to snap a picture with THE Buccee Beaver. It's a Texas staple for a reason and not too far from Mckinney!
