FAQs

Question

When's the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Not sure yet but we will let you know when we send out the RSVP's.

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Not yet but there will be. The registry will be posted on this site once it's ready to share.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both indoors. The cocktail hour between the ceremony and dinner includes an optional outdoor balcony with great sunset views but it's covered and protected from the elements.

Question

What's the wedding dress code?

Answer

No shirt, no shoes, no service? Most people will be dressed up but wear what makes you happy. This is a party afterall.

Question

Is the wedding kid friendly?

Answer

To allow all guests a night of relaxation, we have chosen to make our special day adults-only.

Question

Are plus-ones allowed?

Answer

We attempted to capture the spouses and significant others of our guests in the invitations and RSVP's. If we missed yours or you aren't sure, please reach out ASAP to confirm. Otherwise, we aren't doing universal plus-ones to ensure there is room for all of our friends and loved ones to attend!

Question

Where's the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

There ceremony is at the Soaring Eagle Lodge Hearth Room which is about 5 minutes from the Corduroy Inn & Lodge where the reception and all other wedding activities will be held. A free shuttle between the hotel/reception & ceremony will be available before and after it.

Question

Are there accommodations near the venue or hotel room blocks?

Answer

Absolutely. We recommend staying at the Corduroy Inn & Lodge where we will basically have the whole place to ourselves and will have a hotel room block with discount. If you would rather find a rental/AirBNB, there are lots of options. Just try to stay close to the Corduroy so you don't need to deal with driving/parking.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel?

Answer

Getting to Snowshoe, WV is on you. Once you are here, we will provide a shuttle between the hotel/reception and ceremony. If you are staying at the Corduroy Inn, they also offer a complimentary shuttle around the property.

Question

What's the wedding itinerary?

Answer

Times are all still TBD but here is the basic rundown: - Friday night (for those arriving Friday), pre-party at Tuques from ??? until 10pm. - Shuttle from the Corduroy Inn (if you are staying there) or drive to Soaring Eagle Lodge (about 5 minutes up the hill). - Ceremony will be indoors in the Hearth Room of the Soaring Eagle Lodge. - Shuttle from the ceremony back down to the hotel where the cocktail hour will begin upstairs. - Enjoy an open bar, fancy dinner, and a DJ until they kick us out. - If you aren't ready to stop yet, walk over to Tuques bar (about 100 yards away) for the after party! - Maybe brunch the next morning before heading home?

Question

When should I plan to arrive?

Answer

If you want to play it safe and/or take full advantage of the party weekend, we would love to see you Friday evening. After our rehearsal dinner, we plan to join our friends at Tuques for the pre-party which goes until 10pm. Others may prefer to drive up on Saturday. We definitely recommend staying that evening to make the most of the night if you can.

Question

Is it an open bar? If so, what kind of adult bevys?

Answer

Okay really, do you even know us? YES, of course. One hour open bar at cocktail hour, wine service at dinner, champagne toast, and open bar for 3 hours after dinner. Includes premium liquor, wine, and beer. And of course, non-alcoholic drinks as well! Consider bringing a little cash for tips, as we will have some world-class bartenders!

Question

Answer

To the ceremony and reception? Sadly no. But the Corduroy Inn DOES have dog-friendly rooms available!!!
