Idana Tang

Maid of Honor

I had the blessing of meeting Kim at UCLA, during which we attended the same church (Lighthouse), were in the same Christian fellowship, and the same classes for chemical engineering! It was a blast getting to do so many things together from struggling through tough assignments to playing IM's to heart warming walk-and-talks over how we were doing in our dating relationships. What a great joy it's been to traverse college (and now post college!) with Kim and reflect on how much we've grown!

Deborah Cheng

Bridesmaid

I met Kim in our freshman year of college through our Christian fellowship, and we were in the same freshmen small group together! We remained close friends and became apartment mates in junior year, spending many late nights studying around the dining table and sharing our love for baking cookies together. Kim has always been a sweet friend to share baking tips, prayer requests, and life happenings with! I know I can always count on her to wear “Jesus sandals,” or “jandals” with me (especially with fuzzy socks during the winter!).

Kayleen Cho

Bridesmaid

Kim and I met at our old home church when we were really young and we were on the same basketball team for a time and were in the church's hula ministry. But we didn't become close friends until we both left home for college where God grew our friendship through calls, messaging and sharing how God was growing us. It's been super fun to hear how God has grown her over the years and all the ways He allowed her to serve. She would always be someone who challenged me to grow in my love for God and zeal to grow and serve more!

Kim and I met at UCLA through AACF. She was one of the first people that I met and grew close to at UCLA through engineering classes, basketball, IMs and of course AACF. We lived together during our junior year at UCLA and though it was cut short by the pandemic, we made a lot of good memories. One of my favorite memories with Kim is eating dino nuggets and cookies at midnight in our apartment instead of studying.

Bridesmaid

Kim and I met while checking out different fellowships at UCLA, when a mutual friend confused us for each other! We went on to become good friends, room/apartment mates, and co-servants in Christ. We've spent many evenings enabling each other to bake and eat more cookies than is probably good for us. Here is a quote from Kim that is my life motto: "Just eat it right now, you can't focus anyway."

Tina Li

Bridesmaid

Kim and I met during a dorm dinner for AACF freshman year, but we grew closer through Beacon small group, AACF basketball, and many uplifting meet-ups and conversations throughout our time in college and post-grad. I’m so encouraged by Kim’s heart for the Lord and so grateful to have her in my life as such a dear friend! To Kim: Thanks for dealing with my laggy wifi during COVID, learning the dance for our Rich Brian appreciation video, listening and affirming my random thoughts and conclusions, and navigating the ups and downs of life with me using Biblical truth and some humor too. Love you Kimbo, and I’m so excited to be beside you as you start this new chapter of your life!

Best Man

Davey and I met freshmen year of college at UCLA probably at some type of gathering or event related to AACF--what exactly I forget, but I remember meeting Davey and after one conversation I remember thinking that we would totally get along...similar humor (i.e. bad), high school experiences, and interests. The next thing I remember, being us going over to his freshmen-year apartment, going grocery shopping, to Denny's, Chipotle, and 800 Degrees pizza. In recent weeks (but also in general), we've spent a good amount of time together just chatting, sharing the most stupid (but hilarious) and also real-est things, playing board/online games, and just generally "goofing off" together.

Best Man

I met Davey at UCLA; we were in the same freshman small group. Over the years, I have suffered greatly trying to help Davey with his R homework, getting defeated by him in Super Smash Bros Melee (esp. Captain Falcon), and enduring his terrible jokes. When we're hanging out, you might find Davey and me engaging in sophisticated activities such as laughing at memes, arguing about board games, and planning our next business venture.

Groomsman

Davey and I met at UCLA through our Christian fellowship AACF, and we were roommates our junior and senior years. One of my favorite memories with him was during a game of Ultimate Frisbee. Our team was on offense, and I held the frisbee in our end zone. Ever the ambitious athlete, Davey told me to give him a Hail Mary pass all the way to the other side. When the whistle blew, he sprinted forward as our other teammates spread out to distract our opponents. I waited until the timing was right, threw the frisbee, and held my breath. The disc sailed high above the field. As the other team attempted to respond, Davey maneuvered swift as a coursing river to the end zone, just in time to make the catch and score a point for our team. It was, as the kids say, a real pogger moment. ^_^

Groomsman

David and I met at UCLA through AACF, and we got to know each other in the Spring of 2016, when we had a math class together. After class, we would often eat lunch and play video games together, and we would occasionally play pick up basketball at the Wooden Center. These are still our three favorite activities to do together. Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of seeing David and Kim grow their relationship, always keeping God at the center of it all. Their marriage is a testament to His faithfulness, and I am glad that we have this opportunity to celebrate with them.

Groomsman

I met Davey freshman year of college in aacf. We joined the same small group and then became roommates as upperclassmen. My favorite memories with Davey are cooking together and destroying him in smash.
