Founded in 1929, Camp Sloane is a unique summer camp in Lakeville, CT and is a special place for Kira and Dave. Camp Sloane is an exceptional place in that campers live in tents, have no screen time and truly enjoy the outdoors and each other. Dave has worked and lived at Camp Sloane for almost 14 years and since the beginning of their relationship, the people, activities and values of the camp have surrounded their lives with kindness and playfulness. There is a warm sense of community at the camp, from evening campfires, square dances and volunteer weekends, to dinners at the dining hall. Camp Sloane has provided a fun and active backdrop for Kira and Dave's life together. They love to enjoy the horses that graze in the green fields in the summer, ziplining, canoeing, and spending lots of time tubing and floating, tied off to Dave's trusty boat, Gladys, on Lake Wononpakook, which will be the backdrop for their wedding ceremony.
