Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Yes! Fingers crossed, weather permitting the ceremony will be at the Stratton Mountain Summit Yoga Deck. Please be mindful of shoe options (ie stilettos) as there is a short walk from the gondola drop off area to the deck on a gravel/dirt path.

Question

A wedding at the top of the mountain?! How do we get there?

Answer

Hiking is one of our favorite activities to do together. We couldn't think of a better place to say "I do" then at the top, but don't worry we won't make you hike! The only way to get up and down from the summit is to take the gondola (lift, not the boat kind). It is about a 15 minute ride one way. A gondola is an enclosed lift that will fit 4-6 people. If you have never ridden on one before, it is very easy we promise! When it comes into the loading area it will slow down and the doors will open. All you do is step on, take a seat, and enjoy the ride!

Will there be shuttle service to and from the lodging options?

Answer

Yes! The Stratton Ski Shuttle Bus will be making rounds to pick up guests from the condos and hotel to bring to the gondola loading area and back following the reception. However, Stratton Resort is a very walkable area and It takes about 10 minutes to and from the condos and 15 minutes to get to and from the hotel to the gondola/reception area.

Checking in for the weekend

Answer

If you are staying at one of the condos you need to check in at the Welcome Center located at the beginning of the Village across the street from the Long Trail buildings to get your key. If you are staying at the Black Bear Lodge you can check in directly there.
