Philadelphia International Airport

The Philadelphia area has always been what Dave and Elaine call home. For those who will be visiting from out of town, they can't wait to welcome you! If you are flying in, it is recommended that you plan your trip to the Philadelphia International Airport and take advantage of Ubers and other rideshares while in the area.

Transportation

If you are getting around on your own, we would recommend Ubering, though walking [to the ceremony] and taking the BSL [to the reception] are well within the realm of possibility! Parking can be tough within the city, but there are many parking garages around Old City and there will be plenty of free parking at the American Swedish Historical Museum. There will be NO shuttle provided to the ceremony. It is a 2 block walk from Hotel Monaco (a block or two further from the others), or you can shoot for street parking - go to the link below [the 'view' box] for specific instructions from Old St. Joe's about parking near the church. Please reach out to Elaine or Dave if you have specific transportation questions or need help. You could always rent a scooter for the evening...

Here is everything you need to know about using the shuttle to the reception: - 2 shuttles will depart from Hotel Monaco to the American Swedish Historical Museum (or ASHM - the reception venue) between 4:15 and 4:45 - each shuttle can fit 33 guests and will operate on a first come first served basis - 2 shuttles will depart from the American Swedish Historical Museum beginning at 9pm. The shuttle will return for the bridal party at 10pm and transport them back to the hotel, before coming back one final time for any remaining guests (4 total trips back to Hotel Monaco). Remember, the shuttle can fit 33 people at a time and will operate on a first come first served basis.

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia

As far as lodging, the best place to stay if you would like to take advantage of transportation that has been arranged is at the Hotel Monaco in Old City, Philadelphia. This hotel is very close to all the historic landmarks in Old City and is about a 6 minute walk to Old St. Joe's. It is also (where the bridal party will be preparing for the big day and) where Dave and Elaine will be staying on wedding night! A shuttle will be available to bring guests to and from the reception on a first come first serve basis at this location. A wedding block has been reserved if you book at the link below or call the hotel at 1-800-Kimpton and reference the code 'YX3'. The booking link will be active until the block has filled or the block cut-off date of Thursday, 17 June 2025.

Philadelphia Marriott Old City

This hotel is closer to the Delaware waterfront and about a 7 minute walk to Old St. Joe's. The guest shuttle will not be making stops here, it is less than a 10 minute walk from Hotel Monaco where the shuttle will be. A wedding block has been reserved if you book at the link below. AirBnB is a great option if you would like to stay with or group or see a different part of the city during your visit to Philadelphia.
