After college, Adriana began working as a sign language interpreter. However, her job was intermittent, and she realized the need to find a line of work that offered more stability. She eventually landed a government job with the Navy in Los Angeles. Dave also accepted a position with the Navy and moved to the Mojave Desert where he thought he would be testing solid rocket motors. He thought wrong... Dave and Adriana first met in the fall of 2010 while on a tour of a missile repair facility in Fallbrook, CA. Adriana was instantly captivated by Dave's charming smile and genuine curiosity. But Dave hardly even noticed Adriana as he was preoccupied examining the missile's optical lenses, the flight control systems, and the materials used to manufacture the rocket nozzles. Over the following months, Dave and Adriana crossed paths occasionally while training at work. Their friendship began to crystalize during one particular course in San Diego. However, Dave, frustrated with his assignments, relocated to Maryland in the spring of 2012 and communication with Adriana tapered off. After a year apart, Dave and Adriana reconnected when she temporarily moved to Maryland for work. Foolishly, they decided to engage in a long distance relationship. They spent the next 3 years traveling back and forth across the country to visit each other at every opportunity. The gaps in visitations were augmented by video calls, though the separation was immensely challenging at times. Luckily they managed to overcome the distance and, as if by fate, they both made their way back to San Diego, where it all began for them. Their passion for travel has taken them around the world, from Europe to Brazil. Now, they are eager to celebrate their wedding with you on the sunny coast of Baja California.
