It all started on the dating app "Hinge." Although neither of us had had any luck before, we both decided to take a chance and boy are we glad we did! We had our first date at Reifschneider's in Freeburg, which is now just two minutes down the road from our home! We clicked from that very first night and both felt a genuine connection. The rest is history!

Cassidy's Perspective: We were visiting my family in Ohio and had gone to a park across the street while waiting on our reservation for lunch. We had been taking pictures since we arrived at the park since everyone was together so I didn't suspect anything when we went down closer to the water to take more pictures. My dad, stepmom, brother and grandparents all got to be there for our proposal. It was such an emotional, sweet and special moment for me that I will never forget. Dave's Perspective: You talk about an anxious man, I was nervous! We were visiting Cassidy's family in Ohio. I had messaged her step mom the week before to help come up with a plan. Her family could not have been more excited to help. They suggested a park that had a bridge that overlooked the water. We all met there and started taking pictures together. As Cassidy and I went to take our picture, I had the ring box in my cargo shorts, and there were people around but I didn't care, I got down on one knee and my whole life hung on what that tear meant, and she smiled back at me and then I lost it! I am so excited for Cassidy to be my whole life, my whole world, I just can't believe the way I feel about her. Some people have to wait a lifetime for a moment like that. I am so glad I got to share it with Cassidy. I told her , "Girl can I tell you a wonderful thing, I made you a present, open with care, I'm asking you please, you know that I love you, Will you marry me? " Before I met Cassidy, I thought all love did was break and burn and end, but I guess somethings last forever after all.
