New Orleans loves to do things its own way, and weddings are no exception. New Orleans-style receptions skip seated dinners in favor of lively, music-filled revelry. The party begins with a second line parade, followed by a jazzy cocktail hour that flows into the reception. Guests can enjoy hors d'oeuvres, open food stations with options like carving stations and beignets, and plenty of drinks, all designed to keep you mingling and moving. With no strict schedule for eating or dancing, you’re free to enjoy the evening however you’d like. And while seating is open, rest assured there will be plenty of spots to grab a bite with new friends!
A second line is a New Orleans tradition, a music-filled procession where a brass band leads the newlyweds as the "first line," with guests following as the "second line," dancing and waving handkerchiefs in celebration. Our second line will begin immediately after the ceremony, taking us from the cathedral through the French Quarter to buses waiting to transport everyone to the reception at NOMA. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes! If any guests need assistance, please let us know, and we’ll happily arrange pedicab rides as needed.
Once you have received your save the date or formal invitation, please RSVP by September 22, 2025. You can do so by clicking on the "RSVP" tab above. Type in your name or any additional people included on your invitation.
Black-Tie Preferred: Men are encouraged to wear tuxedos or dark suits, while women should opt for gowns or tea-length dresses. Please note, we’ll be second-lining through the French Quarter, and cocktail hour will take place in a grassy, sculpture garden. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes! While November in New Orleans is typically warm, we recommend keeping an eye on the forecast in case you’ll need a jacket. Local Tux Rentals: Perlis Clothing: (504) 895-8661
If your invitation does not include a guest, we kindly ask that you do not bring a plus-one. If you're in a new relationship or believe there’s been an oversight, please give us a call.
While we love your kids, we've chosen to make our wedding an adult-only celebration. We hope this allows you to join us for a fun, kid-free evening! If you need sitter recommendations, feel free to reach out, and we'll gladly connect you with trusted contacts.
