Once upon a time there was woman who was pretty sure she never wanted to be a teacher again, let alone a teacher in Eldridge, Iowa and a guy who definitely knew he wanted to be a teacher, specifically a teacher in Eldridge, Iowa. Dan was doing just what he wanted- teaching math and computer science at North Scott High School and coaching basketball. Jessica was a little shocked to discover that she loved teaching 5th grade in Eldridge and began to settle in. Jessica first noticed Dan at the high school in the fall of 2013...Dan first noticed Jessica at Ed White in the spring of 2016. (Dan swears she shouldn’t take it personally.) In the fall of 2016, after a Disney outfit (one guess who wore it), mutual Twitter followings, contrived Lancer apparel deliveries, and grilling co-workers for possible relationship statuses, Jessica emailed Dan to give her number. Although basketball season would start the very next day, a first date was set for a Sunday night. And the rest is history!
