Please join us this August on Peaks Island, ME. Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be held on the island, which is a short ferry ride from downtown Portland, ME. We're beyond excited to enjoy a weekend of Maine seafood while celebrating with family & friends. We hope you all enjoy our summer celebration in Vacationland.

Amanda and Kevin met after Amanda accepted a job at a media agency named Maxus during the summer of 2013. Little did Amanda know, but Kevin also worked at the company. Amanda and Kevin briefly crossed paths in the Maxus office, but Kevin accepted a new job and went on his way a few weeks later. Luckily for Kevin, he still used the PATH train to commute from his apartment in Hoboken, NJ to his new job. One of those seemingly mundane commutes became much more interesting when Kevin saw Amanda sitting in front of him. Remembering Amanda from their brief encounters, Kevin quickly blurted out, "Hey, you're from Maxus, right?" After producing an old business card to prove he once worked at Maxus (and wasn't a complete creep), Kevin spent the train ride asking Amanda about her role at the agency. Kevin and Amanda walked off the train together and continued chatting until Amanda realized they were quite close to her new apartment. Amanda had recently moved to a building just across the street from Kevin's apartment. Realizing she all but had to give her newfound neighbor a real phone number, Amanda and Kevin exchanged contact info. The two got together to watch Amanda's Red Sox win the World Series a few weeks later. Amanda enjoyed celebratory drinks while Kevin drank his sorrows away at yet another Red Sox win. The two hit it off from there, and the rest is history.

Kevin picked up Amanda's engagement ring just in time for one of many weekend ski trips to Stratton, VT. Kevin planned to propose on the mountain, but he couldn't find the right time or someone to help with pictures. Antsy after a weekend of skiing with an engagement ring in his pocket, Kevin worked out a new plan on the way home. The next morning, a Sunday, was forecast to be sunny and especially warm for a late winter day. Kevin got some helpful advice from friends Jen & Caleb Stratton, and decided to pop the question at the Castle Point Lookout in Hoboken, NJ. The lookout is one of Amanda & Kevin's favorite outdoor spaces in Hoboken, and offers amazing views of the Manhattan skyline. Kevin asked Amanda to walk up to the lookout on their way to an early lunch. Little did Amanda know, Jen & Caleb were hiding out and waiting to take pictures of the proposal. Kevin popped the question at the top of the overlook, initially prompting a confused response from Amanda. Reality quickly sunk in a few moments later, and Amanda's reaction changed from, "Wait, what's happening? This can't be real!" to, "YES!" Needless to say, Kevin was relieved!
