Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We're working with limited space, but if you'd like to bring someone special, just reach out to us and we'll see what we can do!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests should arrive 15-30 minutes before the ceremony start time

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place outdoors under the beautiful Pergola overlooking the lake at Lake Point Hall. We recommend bringing sunglasses and maybe a light jacket depending on the weather that day in July!

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

We're going for garden party attire! Think elegant but comfortable since we'll be celebrating outdoors under the Pergola by the lake. We recommend: • Flowy dresses, nice slacks with blouses, or dressy separates • Comfortable shoes that won't sink into the grass (wedges or block heels work great!) • Light, breathable fabrics - it's July in North Carolina so it'll be warm • Feel free to embrace florals, pastels, or colors that complement our beautiful lakeside setting • Please avoid white, ivory, or anything too similar to what the bride might wear We want everyone to feel comfortable and look amazing while celebrating with us

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 15th, 2025 so we can give our caterer final numbers and make sure we have enough delicious BBQ chicken and honey glazed salmon for everyone!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We're planning an adults-only celebration, but we understand childcare can be tricky. If you need to bring your little one, just reach out to us first!

Question

What food will be served?

Answer

• Starter: Tropical Salad • Main courses: Marinated Grilled BBQ Chicken and Honey & Garlic Glazed Salmon • Sides: Gratine (Macaroni Au Gratin) and Diri ak Djon Djon (Black Mushroom Rice with Lima Beans) • Vegetables: California Medley and Beet Salad During our social hour, we'll have appetizers and drinks available before we head inside for dinner. If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let us know when you RSVP by June 15th so we can accommodate you!

Question

Do you have dietary restriction accommodations?

Answer

"We want to make sure everyone can enjoy the celebration! Please let us know about any dietary restrictions, food allergies, or special dietary needs when you RSVP by June 15th. Our caterer can work with us to accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, and other dietary requirements. Just give us a heads up so we can make sure there's something delicious for you to enjoy!

Question

Are there hotel recommendations for out-of-town guests?

Answer

We recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton Charlotte South/Tivola for our out-of-town guests! It's perfectly located about 20 minutes from both Lake Point Hall and our home, making it super convenient whether you want to visit us or head straight to the venue. We recommend booking early since it's wedding season in July! If you need help with reservations or have questions about the area, feel free to reach out to us.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We'll have our signature cocktail 'The D&J Special' and water available during our outdoor social hour. For the reception, we'll be serving wine, beer, any remaining D&J Specials, water, and lemonade. Come thirsty and ready to celebrate with us!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We're having an unplugged ceremony! Please keep your phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present for this special moment. Feel free to take all the photos you want during our social hour and reception!
