Question
What is the dress code?
Answer
The wedding is black tie optional. Please feel free to get as fancy as you'd like, but no pressure to wear a tux or long dress. Please DO NOT WEAR THIN HEELS, they will get stuck in the grass and subsequently ruined. Please wear flats, wedges, or block heeled shoes only. Wedding/cocktail hour/reception are outside so you may want layers - it will be on the warmer side during the ceremony and may get chillier at night so a sweater or light jacket is recommended! All other events are casual.

Is there transportation to the wedding?
Answer
Yes. There will be shuttles departing from the Inn at Gristmill Square, Inn at Warm Springs, and the Homestead. Shuttles will be departing these venues promptly at 5:00 p.m. You can ask the hotel for additional details on where to meet the shuttle. If you miss the shuttle at 5:00, you'll have to drive yourself - remember NO cabs/ubers/lyfts are available in the area.

If I'm driving, how do I find the wedding venue?
Answer
If you’re driving to the wedding please search for Apple Horse Farm on your navigation app (google maps works well) and follow the driveway all the way up to the house at the top. There will be plenty of parking, but please remember it will be on grass.
Question
I couldn't book a room at the Grist Mill, where should I stay?
Answer
The other locations with shuttles to the wedding are the Homestead and Warm Springs Inn. We have also identified additional inns/hotels on the “Travel” page. Finally, there are some rental properties available via natural retreats or AirBnb, but before booking please use google maps to ensure you’re choosing a house that’s an appropriate distance from Apple Horse Farm - some may be up to an hour away.

Should I rent a car if I'm flying into a nearby airport?
Answer
We highly recommend having a car to navigate Hot Springs. There are not any Uber/Lyft/taxis available in the area.
Question
How would you spend a free day in Hot Springs?
Answer
Start the morning with coffee/pastries from the Warm Springs Inn and go to Alleghany Outfitters to rent a kayak for a quick float down the Jackson River (make reservations in advance; the number is provided under the Omni Homestead section of "Things To Do"). If you don't want to get on the river check out https://www.alltrails.com/ to find the perfect hike. After, grab some snacks and/or a beer from Bacova Brewery, but make sure you save most of the fun for the wedding!
