Here are some frequently asked questions to help our guests.
Question

How will you be handling this event with COVID-19?

Answer

We feel the responsibility and obligation to provide a safe environment for our guests and therefore we are requiring our guests to be vaccinated. If you are choosing not to be vaccinated at this time, we respect your decision and will certainly miss you on our special day.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail/Formal- We want you to look your best but most importantly feel your best. Cocktail attire is a balance between formal and casual and elegant and comfortable. To an event with this dress code, men typically wear a suit and tie while women wear a cocktail dress.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes prior to the time listed on the invite. If you are driving, please note that only street parking will be available at the ceremony site, so allow some time to find parking and walk over. We recommend using Uber/Lyft.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place outside. Our backup site in the event we experience inclement weather will be the Jefferson hotel. Cocktail hour and the reception will take place indoors at the Jefferson Hotel.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

While this can't be predicted, here's what Google says: April in Richmond, Virginia, is an agreeable spring month, with average temperature ranging between min 49.3°F (9.6°C) and max 68.4°F (20.2°C).

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Due to the proximity of the two venues. We recommend driving or using Uber/Lyft to get from the ceremony site to the reception. The ride is less than 10 minutes by car.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, the Jefferson Hotel offers valet parking at a fee. Street parking is also available.

Question

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner and dessert

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We prefer you put your phone away during the ceremony. We want you to be present and with us during this important moment while our photography team does the rest. After the ceremony? Go wild!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Due to COVID-19, and the significant number of international family traveling to this event, we would appreciate your RSVP as soon as possible.

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

No

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in Richmond?

Answer

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.

Will there be any other events to attend during the wedding weekend?

Answer

Everyone is invited to our pre-wedding get together at Les Crepes in Carytown on Friday! Please refer to the schedule section of the Zola site to learn more.

How will you communicate any updated information and/or changes before the wedding?

Answer

We will keep you informed via email or text. Please be sure your Zola contact information is up to date so you don't miss out.
