Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Lauren Hafner and Darryl Cordova
Once engaged, we knew we had to assemble our avengers. We searched far and wide for the heros our wedding needed. They were all unavailable. This is who we got instead.

Dayna Hafner

Maid of Honor

Dayna has had Lauren's back since birth. (We have photo evidence of her wide smile holding Lauren as a newborn to prove it). She was Lauren's first fashion consultant - knowingly when she used to dress Lauren in her doll's clothing and unknowingly when Lauren would try on everything in her closet when she wasn't home and attempt to place it all back perfectly before being discovered. Whether it's being terrified of the toe monster or a dance party to the new Spice Girls album - Daynas always there for life's worst and life's best. She has a giant heart and a knack for taking care of people (& animals - ask her about her zoo) and Lauren is beyond lucky she's taken such good care of her their whole lives. The question remains, if she's so great at protecting people, how'd Darryl get through?

Nathan Cortez

Best Man

Nathan and Darryl met while playing baseball for the illustrious, world-renowned Vista Del Lago Ravens. The two became close friends quickly bonding over a love for the sport, all things Pokémon and, of course, the Angels. Darryl was new to the school so was probably a little clingy of his newfound friend (sorry, buddy - but look at us now!), but that never seemed to bother Nathan who only ever treated him like a brother. Hundreds of unforgettable moments later (like the time Nathan helped Darryl move and they had to break into the truck after locking the keys inside OR the way Darryl learned Nathan was colorblind - but that's a story for another day), their brotherhood stands strong. Darryl stood by Nathan's side on his wedding day and it's his honor to have Nathan beside him now.

Amy Bates

Matron of Honor

Amy is one the most generous, kind hearted people on this earth. She and Lauren met while on tour and spent the first 9 months of their friendship traveling the world together. From the middle of nowhere Alaska, to the Spanish coast, to exploring Tokyo, to Disney trips stateside - she makes the best adventuring partner. Amy sees the world around her with positivity and always has faith in people. She celebrates the small moments in life, the ones that most people let pass them by. If you need someone to get hype, she's definitely your girl. She's been Lauren's hype girl since the day they met when they discovered they have identical tastes in snacks and television (which are two of the essentials for a perfect tour-mate), so it makes sense she's going to be Lauren's hype girl for this.

William Cunningham

Best Man

When you meet a guy completely on a whim because you need one more person in your group project in Spanish class, you don't expect to find a lifelong friend. Bill is that friend for Darryl. Now, we could totally get into the fact that Darryl introduced Bill to the love of his life and woman he'd marry, but we won't bore you with that (mainly because Darryl didn't know they had already met and were, in fact, dating). Bill and Darryl's old joke is that they share a brain, but only one can use it at a time, hence, questionable decision making on both their parts at times. But it makes them a hell of a charades team! Anyway, we're getting sidetracked. Long story short, you gotta have the guy you beat Halo 3 and Resident Evil 5 with standing next to you on your wedding day - and that's Bill.

Mallory Conner

Bridesmaid

Mallory is technically Lauren's cousin, but she's actually her second big sister. No matter what she's faced with in life, she is always cool, calm and collected. As children, she gave Lauren an impressive amount of hand me down barbies (honestly, Lauren's collection was the envy of the whole neighborhood), tricked her into swimming in the deep end of the pool for the first time (not out of spite, but out of her belief that Lauren could do it if she just stopped telling herself she couldn't) and was always the first to volunteer to read Lauren's chance & community chest cards for her when they played monopoly (it was their Grandmother's favorite game and Lauren learned how to play before learning to read). They've shared a lot, and Lauren's excited she'll be up there to share this day too.

Joshua Maldonado

Groomsman

Darryl always wanted a younger sibling but that was never in the cards (I mean, when your parents have a kid like Darryl, why try to top that?). But his cousin Josh filled the role valiantly. They grew up very close and, although Darryl admits he did do some tormenting when they were younger, they've always been like siblings. Whether it was pitching a tent in the backyard to "camp" or stealing their dads' hats and being cowboys for the day, there was always an adventure to be had. As the years went on, those kids games turned to video games and nights out. But one thing always remained, they always looked out for each other. When Josh went into the Marine Corps and Darryl moved to L.A., they'd go years without their usual hang time. But when they reunited, it was as if no time had passed.

Sarah Pruden

Bridesmaid

Sarah and Lauren have known each other since college. They met through mutual friends and clicked instantly. So instantly, in fact, that the first time they ever talked, they agreed to move in together - but instead of becoming roommates, they became best friends. Sarah is the biggest cheerleader you could ever ask for. Her support and dedication to those she loves most is unwavering. She and Lauren have been supporting each other for over 10 years. They've seen each other through many firsts - each other's first legal drinks, Lauren's first time trying Chipotle (it was a whole moment) and many more. They discovered together that there is nothing that can't be solved with a great afternoon at the river, a long drive blasting Britney on some back country roads or some of Peggy's apple pie.

Kamron Garner

Groomsman

They met in 7th grade. They were immediate best friends and during summer, they were almost never apart. They were pretty much vagabonds, strutting down the mean streets of Moreno Valley like they owned the damn place. Dropping five dollar bills at the 99 Cent store like it was chump change. Walking out of the store with more Arizona Iced Teas and Hot Cheeto Fries than anyone could possibly need. Nothing like popping a cold one (still talking Arizona Tea here) with your boy, sitting pool side (at his grandma's) and listening to the South Park soundtrack that you illegally downloaded on Limewire. Those were the days. And, although tragedy struck when they were sent to opposite high schools, that never quelled the friendship. K & D remain ride or dies to this day.

Selene Ruiz

Bridesmaid

It took about 2.5 seconds after being introduced to each other for Selene and Lauren to become friends. After knowing each other for an afternoon, it felt as though they had known each other for a lifetime. Lauren's convinced that was due to one of Selene's greatest skills - her intuition. Selene is so in tune with the people she cares about and can always tell when someone needs her. Lauren has always admired that about her. Lauren's admiration doesn't stop there, Selene is extremely trustworthy and will always tell it to you straight, yet she's incredibly kind and loving at the same time. She's also a great cook - if you're ever in a situation where Selene offers you homemade Gorditas - say YES (trust me, you won't be sorry). She's a woman of many talents, the best of which is friend.

Neil Lino

Groomsman

You'll never find a cooler guy than Neil Lino. Period. That should be the end of this description, but we'll go on. Neil's the type of guy you just want to be around. And when Darryl met him in high school, he knew they'd gel. They also played baseball together and those long team bus rides were some of the best times ever. They stayed friends through the years and shared the distinct pleasure of being co-best men at Nathan's wedding. Darryl's favorite part about Neil is that he's a "doer." He's not all talk like many people today. One day, Neil will tell you that he wants to learn Spanish and the next time you see him, he's all "Oye chico, como estas?" And you're all.... "what...." You just never know what you're going to get. And Darryl freaking loves that.

Laura Cordova

Bridesmaid

They say when you get married, you're not just marrying your fiancee, you're also marrying their family. Lauren is very grateful that not only does she get Darryl out of this deal, she also gets a really baller family of in-laws. This includes her new, fabulous sister in law, Laura. From the minute they met, Lauren could see what an adventurous, fun-loving spirit Laura had. She is the type of person who can turn a seemingly ordinary Saturday afternoon into cherished family time, whether it's with a board game tournament, a movie fort, or even a long walk with some great conversation. This is part of what makes her a wonderful friend, as well as an incredible mother, too (seriously - her kids are awesome). They've already made great memories together and Lauren can't wait to make even more.

Ivan Cordova

Groomsman

Some people say the worst day of their life is the day their younger sibling is brought home from the hospital. We feel, however, that the worst day of Ivan's life was the day his younger sibling started talking... because he never shut up again. You learn a lot about a guy when you share a room with him for several years as a child. For instance, Darryl learned that Ivan DIDN'T like being woken up several times in the middle of the night to be told Darryl was going to use the restroom. To each their own. Anyway, as you can probably tell, Darryl is Ivan's favorite brother (obviously). And Darryl credits Ivan with teaching him the important things in life. Like how to stuff your shirt with pillows so you can be a proper tackle dummy (good times...). You get the picture. They're brothers.

Emma Cordova

Flower Girl

Jackson Cordova

Ring Bearer

Ricardo Ruiz

Officiant

He's been known by many names. Ricky. Sergei. Pitbull. But at this wedding, he'll pick up a brand new title - officiant. Ricky is Darryl's cousin and has always been a positive influence in Darryl's life... Ok, ok, those who know Ricky know that "positive influence" isn't really in his vocabulary. But hey, he's been a rock when Darryl needed it. And no one has a better sense of Darryl and Lauren as a couple than he does. He even went so far as to have dubbed himself and Lauren "BFFL's for Life" (yes, it's redundant, Darryl's tried to tell them many times) within a few hours of meeting her. So it feels right that he'd be the one performing the ceremony. Plus, he always has something to say about everything so they figured, "why not give him the only speaking role?" Wish us all luck.
