Maid of Honor
Bailey's older sister and biggest role model. Brittany is the most dedicated, caring, and giving person you will ever meet. She has taught Bailey how to be a friend, sister, positive encouraging leader, christian, wife, and now incredible mother. Not only do they share an affinity for elf culture, but they endlessly encourage each other to live a life full of adventures, plants (if Britt can keep them alive), well done nails, well dressed opportunities. Bailey could not have asked for a better friend to stand next to her and help her plan the best day of her life (so far)!
Bridesmaid
A consistent advocate of the personal bubble Julie is a no-touchy kinda girl. Darrin and Julie consistently had each others backs growing up, even if it was only to get a better grip for a choke hold. Julie is one of the most selfless God loving women you will ever know and will always be there to help the kids of the youth group grow into the young men and women they'll become. While she's generally an introvert, Julie can have some of the best deep conversations with a person that you can ever know. Now that Darrin is getting married maybe people will finally stop thinking that Julie is his girlfriend.
Bridesmaid
Colleen and Bailey have been best friends for years. When Ben and Colleen met at Malone University, Bailey wanted to be Colleen's friend as fast as possible. Who knew what God had in store over the next several years, but they have always been each others biggest supporters and friends. They share a passion for crafts and animals, although Colleen may have Bailey beat on that one. We can always count on Colleen for endless support and prayers and we are so thankful to have her and Ben together to support us and stand with us.
Bridesmaid
Belle was the first addition to the family that made Bailey a Big sister. She couldn't wait to be a big sister and knew it would be quite the adventure. Little did she know it would involve lots of tears, fun memories, sassy conversation and lots of life chats. Bailey knew Belle would want to be a part of her wedding, and knew Belle would be looking up to her to continue being an example. Bailey can't wait to have her be a part of Darrin and Bailey's day!
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Bailey met at freshman orientation back in 2012, the two instantly bonded over their anticipation of college life, love of ice cream, and distaste over the "neons" (the group of cool kids in their orientation group). Rachel is one of the sweetest, caring, focused, and introspective individuals Bailey has ever met. They bonded quickly over their ability to have debates and remain friends, keep a room (relatively) clean, and hang out with friends and family. Over the years of college, the two found their own paths, interests, and friend groups; but they always knew to come back to one another to share their secrets, adventures, drama and love. Rachel and Bailey have rarely lived in the same location, but have always found a way to pick up where they left off.
Bridesmaid
Kayla and Bailey met in undergrad while they were both studying Human Resources. As most friends do, they started out not being too big of fans of each other. Once they were both elected to the Human Resource Development Student Association E-Board, they were fast friends. Through some crazy fun events, a meadow brook ball, and several induction ceremonies Bailey and Kayla were attached at the hip. At the end of Bailey’s senior year they grew apart, but God knew they needed each other in their lives when Bailey moved back to Oakland. Kayla and Bailey now are supporting each other in their walks of faith in constant prayer and “catch ups”. After Kayla asked Bailey to stand in her wedding, Bailey couldn’t think of who else to add to the bridal party to help build up Darrin and her in prayer.
Bridesmaid
Jaclyn and Bailey also met at Texas Tech! Jaclyn was in her second year as a Residence Life Coordinator when Bailey started Grad school. Jaclyn immediately became a resource and a friend to Bailey helping her learn the ropes of the new job, office, and campus. Bailey and Jaclyn got dogs around the same time and helped each other learn to be dog moms on a college campus! Bailey and Jaclyn had many life chats throughout the two years Bailey spent at Texas Tech. Talks about life, Jesus, families, boys, and more. As one of Darrin and Bailey's biggest supporters, Bailey knew Jaclyn needed to be one to stand with her on their big day. Jaclyn was there when it all began, and now she will be there when they begin the rest of forever!
Bridesmaid
Bailey met Anne during their time at Texas Tech. Anne has graduated from TTU for her undergraduate degree and was pursuing her masters degree at the same time Bailey began. Their cohort was very close at first, but as everyone found their “cliques”, Bailey and Anne held onto each other for their mutual love of wine, dogs, and Jesus. They kept each other sane through strange professors, coworker drama, and lots of life changes. Anne was there the day Bailey and Darrin started talking again, and helped her through those first couple of awkward conversations and dates. When Bailey was picking her bridesmaids she know Anne had to be there. She is beyond excited to have a little bit of Texas stand beside her.
Bridesmaid
Haleigh and Bailey met at OU. Haleigh graduated in 2020 and was an RA on campus for a few years. This year, they work together as Haleigh is a Graduate Residence Director in Hillcrest where Bailey is the Residence Director. You would think they are the same person...as another recent newly-wed Bailey and Haleigh have had plenty in common. Together they have taken up every quarantine hobby you could think of; candle making, baking, macramé, plants and more. Haleigh has helped Bailey stay sane (as much as she can) this year both personally and professionally and we don't know what we would do without her. They have quickly become Best Friends and we are so thankful to have her standing with us.
Best Man
Darrin met this crazy guy playing soccer in middle school, he eventually introduced me to both Bryan Mills and Kevin Choate for many fun filled Friday nights. Whether it's playing games, sports, or shooting Will always made sure you felt welcome wherever you were. Eventually the gang graduated high school and this guy convinced Darrin to join the Marine Corps, which lucky for Will is the reason the timing for re-meeting Bailey happened.
Groomsman
What can I say this big guy is the reason Darrin learned how to survive so well. To this day you can find this two moments away from wrestling and trying to see who will give up first, usually it ends up in Bryan "having to go pee" which is his best defense. A great man who is always looking to help others and consistently staying up to date with the newest technology infused crazes.
Groomsman
One of Bailey's best friends growing up, Bailey and Ben spent several years of school drifting down the dirt roads in Ortonville on their way to Brandon Schools making them darn near inseparable. The two have always been each others biggest supporters through thick and thin. At football games, band concerts, graduations, being grounded, or going to church, they have always found a way to love and support one another. Though many people say they are a lot more alike than they really are, Ben and Bailey have a heart for servant leadership as they both work in student affairs. Bailey asked Darrin to have Ben stand with them because she couldn't think of a better person to help keep them accountable for a Godly marriage after he has helped keep her out of (or in) trouble for all these years.
Groomsman
Darrin met Bryan at one of Will's Friday night game nights. When he's not giving random facts of the day he's consistently finding and tinkering with new interesting things. When Darrin got out of the Marine Corps Bryan was the one who got him a job immediately! Bryan continually looks into autocross, shooting, whiskey, and consistently is there to support you if you need help.
Groomsman
Darrin met Kevin at one of Will's Friday night game nights. He is continually learning new things and trying to challenge himself and others to better themselves. If he wasn't away for one of his dads birthdays ;) he was always to listen and have the deeper conversations to make sure everything was going ok with you. Kevin also tried his best to teach Darrin to drive stick shift, much to the demise of the MX-6.
Groomsman
Darrin's crazy friend from the Marine Corps. If he isn't working hard he's playing hard! Mo is always there to support you in whatever scenario you throw at him, it's hard to find a better friend to have your back. He loves his country music and whenever you get his southern accent going the "ma'am" or "howdy darlin" that you hear can win over any woman,
Groomsman
One of Darrin's friends from the Marine Corps. Ralph is always there to have your back with whatever you may need! He comes in two modes calm and collected, or mischievous and crazy. Helped Darrin stay connected in church while in the Marine Corps, and additionally gave him a challenge on the morning runs.
Groomsman
Carey has helped us both in our first year of marriage by supporting us and just being a good human. He has learned to tap into Darrin's competitive side in many competitive games and continues to challenge him to improve in most all of them.
Groomsman
Isaac is a big hooah who likes to compete in Reindeer games with the Marines. While his Army intelligence is on point, it’s his willingness to make Darrin and Bailey feel welcome that really makes him an awesome human. Isaac’s is incredibly loyal and always there if you need help with the biggest or smallest task. Be wary though his competitive side will lead to long nights of intense smack talk.
