That day I called her to go skydiving, she did not hesitate! It’s definitely the Pisces in us! There’s no way I could say “ I do” without you!

Tia is my bougie friend/sister! I’ve known her since freshman year at Norfolk State and she has never changed up on me. My girl is always there with a shoulder to lean on or a shot to throw back! She is that friend that’s going to have fun anywhere she goes! I can count on Tia if I want to go out on the town any night! She’s happily married, but my girl was the life of the party at any given time! From freshman year until now, you know there’s no other place I would want you on my wedding day besides standing next to me.

My big sister is naturally good at everything! She’s our family pride and joy…. super smart and a social butterfly. She is fearless and I’m so inspired by your “go get it” mentality. The rest of us look for you to set the bar and you never disappoint. You’re always outdoing yourself and has always been tough as nails on the outside, even though you’re soft and squishy on the inside. Britt, you would always tell me, Alexia and Wuz to pick our heads up, be great and never let them see us cry. If we didn’t listen, she’d beat us up and tell us to be tough. She led by example at all times with all A’s in everything, first to leave the nest, and first to launch a great career. My best friend and my right hand man…I can’t explain to y’all how much Tay means to me. I love you bro so prepare to hear that "I love you drunk speech" about 40 times. Tay has always had my back since we were just two youngsters trying to make a junior college basketball team. We never made the team, but I gained a brother for life. Our friendship started over a cup of noodles, lol. If I was fighting, he was fighting too. We would even fight each other, but that’s what brothers do. We shared everything from living together, to working for the school together and even getting hired at Pizza Hut together. Tay was always the responsible one and would budget for everything. I would blow through my money and be so broke that I didn’t even have gas money to go home (a hour away from college). Tay had my back every time. He would give me gas money, even though sometimes he asked for it back to teach me a lesson. Tay even made sure it was food in the house, even if it was just left over pizza from work. (He would always say that a boss is one who guarantees we gone eat). Fast forward to when I lost it trying to transition from college to the real world and the bottle had a hold on me. Tay helped me shake it off and never looked down on me. He always offered help, supported me going to the navy, and came to visit me anywhere I got stationed if he was free. I will forever love you bro and friends like you are rare to find.

We all have that friend who is wise beyond their years and typically the parent of the group. Well, that's Grace or Father Grace, as we call him. He was my Therapist and brother on board LHD Bonhomerichard (crazy Japan days). Three things for certain about Grace is 1. ) You couldn't out drink Grace 2.) No matter how drunk you got, Grace had your back and would make sure you get home safe 3.) He would always give good advice and would tell you when you’re wrong. I love you brother and thanks for sharing this moment with me!

With some good music, you could always make light of a heavy situation. It was impossible to be mad around you. You taught me to breathe when things got tough, count my blessings, and formulate a good plan because things will always get better. You’ve always had a positive soul, Gummie. Thank you for putting up with me, for shutting me down at all the country bars, but most importantly, for leading by example. I love you so much bro and continue to keep that solid advice coming. I remember him pulling my feet out of the fire numerous amounts of times in the Navy, cutting my hair before every port visit, and being my partner in crime while we ran the streets of Japan. You always let me crash at your spot when we got to turnt. When I met Lew, he was funny and solid, and until this day, nothing has changed. I’ll never forget when Thompson was trying to get a haircut in the barber shop but you had a meeting, so you couldn't cut his hair. Thompson was trying to fight and when he left, you looked at me and was like, “Thompson small and fast. I was gone throw these clippers at him to slow him down, then get on his ass”, lol. I love you bro we gone be Chiefs in the Navy laughing about good ole times!

Bye Felicia! The first girl to put me on game was my homie, OG FeFe. I would run to her about girl problems and she would get me right every time. Most of the time, I was the problem, so it was the same conversations over and over. I was just really hard headed, but she never gave up on me. Fe knows better than anyone how BIG of a win this is for me. I always wanted to prove that I could be a good man, worthy of love and marriage. We never thought this day would come, but sis I made it!
