Crash Boat beach is one of the most popular beaches in Puerto Rico's west coast and Aguadilla's crowning gem. Its turquoise waters make this beginner diving spot ideal for snorkeling, swimming, and even surfing during the summer. Crash Boat’s vibrant scene has dubbed it the island’s party beach, where you can hear music, and hop around the kiosks and food stands that are lined up around the pier.
With the outbreak of World War II the United States Army opened a new air base in Aguadilla Puerto Rico (1939) and with it comes the first golf course on the island with 18 holes and grass greens. A favorite of President Eisenhower built around 1940. Set atop a cliff side promontory, this par 72 course offers a sweeping view of the point where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. In 1973 the military base closed and the golf course became the first public course in Puerto Rico. Punta Borinquen Golf Club has one of the most spectacular sunsets and ocean views in Puerto Rico. By season the golfers have the opportunity to see whales playing and jumping in the beautiful and warm Atlantic Ocean.
