My best friend Krista and I had just finished a nighttime color run in downtown Cincinnati and we were covered in rainbows of paint from head to toe! I mean seriously, my hair must've been 4 different colors. We also had on neon fanny packs, neon shorts, and neon socks; so it would've been hard to miss us! After the 5k, we decided to continue our night out on the town! That was when we ran into Jose and his friends. We quickly were welcomed into their dancing circle and Jose began talking to me about the Color Run that we had just done. When he left for the night, he politely said goodbye and left the dance floor with his friends. I told Krista, "I am going to marry that guy someday." Surprised, Krista asked, "well, did you get his number or did you give him yours?" I then realized we hadn't exchanged information! As odd as it sounds, I didn't feel worried. I felt our paths would cross again. Krista, knowing I was probably insane for leaving my future husband to just fate, took matters into her own hands! She raced out of the building and stopped Jose to give him my phone number and just a few minutes later, Jose texted me and invited Krista and I next door for tacos. I nervously accepted, but we ended up talking until the early hours of the morning. The next day, I told my mom I had met the love of my life and the person I was going to marry. I think every one thought I was crazy, but here we are today!
While on vacation in Puerto Rico, Jose planned a beautiful dinner by the beach at a resort in Isabella, PR. After dinner, we walked along the ocean by the resort. As we were walking back Jose stopped me and got down on one knee! Before he could even finish, I exclaimed YES!!! His friends came out from behind the treeline and we celebrated! It was the BEST day of my life! đź’—
