Answer

Please RSVP by Aug 22nd! You can do so on our wedding website by clicking the ‘RSVP’ tab and searching the name of a member of your party!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, we would be honored if you decided to bring the whole family! There will be kids meals available during dinner, which can also be served as early as cocktail hour for any kiddos who get hungry a little earlier!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

The name of invited guests will be listed on your invitation and in the RSVP tab. Due to capacity limitations, we can’t accommodate any other additional guests than those listed.

Question

Where will the ceremony be?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on MSU’s campus at the Alumni Memorial Chapel (636 Auditorium Rd, East Lansing, MI 48825)

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Feel free to join us in the chapel anytime after 1:45pm. Please try to arrive by 2:15pm to allow yourself time to park and find a seat! The ceremony will start promptly at 2:30pm.

Question

where should we park on campus?

Answer

There will be parking at Lot 9 (577 Auditorium Rd, East Lansing, MI) for guests across the street from the chapel. There are a limited number of handicap spots in front of the chapel as well. Tip: If using Google maps, search ‘577 Auditorium Rd, East Lansing’. If using Apple Maps, search ‘Lot 9 East Lansing’.

Question

Is there a time gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will be about 90 minutes between the ceremony end time and the start of cocktail hour at Copper Moon. Feel free to check out the "Things to Do" section of our website to see some of our favorite spots to eat, drink and explore. We highly recommend visiting the MSU Dairy Store while you’re in town!

Question

Where will the reception be?

Answer

The reception will be at Copper Moon (1247 Center St, Lansing, MI 48906). There is a parking lot at the venue, as well as a few street parking spaces. Cocktail hour will start at 4:30pm, with dinner and dancing to follow!

Question

Are there options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Yes! When you RSVP, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. Our cocktail hour appetizers will also all be clearly marked if they are vegetarian or gluten-free friendly.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We would love to see our guests to join us in dressing up in their Sunday best for the occasion. We recommend a semi-formal/cocktail attire dress code, but whatever you’re most comfortable in is perfect as well! Gentlemen, please feel free to wear a suit or dress shirt. Ladies, a cocktail dress or dressy seperates are great. The weather in Michigan can often be unpredictable, so it’s best to be prepared for both warmer and cooler fall weather!

Question

What about after the reception?

Answer

Looking to continue the celebrations? Guests are welcome to gather and mingle in the Hyatt Place Lansing - East lobby and patio areas after the reception. The hotel bar closes at midnight, so feel free to bring down your own snacks and drinks if you’d like! There will also be a small group of the bridal party heading to Rick’s in downtown East Lansing for any who want to join!
