New regulation has been passed and as of January 26th, 2021, a negative Covid test is required to enter the US for all travelers including US citizens. Thankfully, Andaz has made it easy to get tested before traveling back. You can read more about the details here: https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/mexico/andaz-mayakoba-resort-riviera-maya/cunam/news-events and you can read more about the US entry rules here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/travel-during-covid19.html Please contact Matt and Darin if you have any questions or concerns!
We know that Covid is a very real threat to everyone at this time, and the safety of our friends and family is the most important thing in the world to us. As of now, we are moving forward with everything as planned. We will be watching very closely in the months leading up to the big day. If we feel it is unsafe, we will make the call to postpone, and notify everyone of our change of date. If you book your stay at Andaz Mayakoba, your reservation will move with the date -- or you can receive a 50% refund, should the new date not work for you. Most airlines will also allow flight changes free of charge at this time (but make sure you double check before you book)
You will receive an official invitation, however, we would love for you to RSVP as soon as possible so that we can start to get an idea of how many people plan on coming.

It is always great to use pesos. You can find an ATM at the airport right after you go through customs, or plan to use a bank atm in town. If you want to be ahead of the game, head to the bank a couple weeks before the trip and do an exchange there so you don't have to worry about it once you land! Please keep in mind, some banks do not have pesos on hand and there may be a bit of a wait time, which is why we recommend giong at least a couple weeks prior.
The Andaz Mayakoba sits on the tranquil blue waters of the Caribbean. It is breathtakingly beautiful and you will find that the climate is very tropical. One thing to look out for -- if mosquitoes are a thing for you, bring bug spray! Or start researching supplements that work to keep those guys away. We’ve heard a month of Garlic, Oregano Oil, Calcium, or B supplements does the trick.
Yes! Your bellman, driver, waiter, bartender, cleaning person -- they are all working hard for tips. Please be kind, and if you love them, show them!
Yes! We recommend getting that situated and ready to go as soon as possible, as there have been some major delays. You can make an appointment online at almost all USPS locations for a seamless passport experience. You can also get photos taken at Walgreens and send in your passport application forms online. This option is slightly less expensive, but has a few extra steps involved.
