Is there any additional costs?

Answer

The Texas State parks do charge an entrance fee...HOWEVER we are going to be covering the cost for our guests to join us for the day. Upon arrival please let the rangers know that you are there for the Girndt / Strong wedding and they will send you on in!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

The official rule at Texas state parks is that Alcohol is not to be consumed or "shown." The couple will be providing a number of various types of beverages and will have koozies so that beverages will not be "seen" by any passing park employees.

Solar Eclipse?!

Answer

We recently learned that there is a solar eclipse the day of the wedding! According to the NASA website the eclipse will start in the Houston area at 10:27am and will reach it's peak and 11:58am. This means that the eclipse will be waining during the ceremony. Please feel free to come early to the park for maximum viewing and we look forward to having this extra special event part of our day!
