One day, Ethan Gahr (best man) came up to me and told me that there was a girl that was interested in me. Keep in mind, this was during Covid and I was growing out my patchy Covid beard. So I thought, "how could any girl be interested in me?" 3 months went by before we finally met. The first date was great, except I was surprised when she took out her cell phone and said, "I swear I usually don't take my phone out on dates, but I promise that my sister is about to have her baby any minute!" I hadn't heard that excuse to get out of a date before, but I went with it. Thank goodness that Kenny waited until the next day to be born!

The following day, I sent her a screenshot of the photo with a comment as brief and dramatic as, "who dat"? 😂 Turns out, it was Darian and over the next few months, our mutual friend Ethan kept asking me if I would want to meet him. After casually meeting for dinner with a few friends and Darian, he texted me afterwards asking to take me out to dinner. One of the first things I remember us talking about were kids and cats.
