4141 Crawfordville Hwy, Crawfordville, FL 32327 6PM The out-of-town folks and the wedding party are invited! If you are local we are so excited to celebrate with you on Saturday and also when all the carpetbaggers leave town.
We have all the rooms at the springs and are excited to fill them up with you wonderful people. They are old-timey and seem to struggle with the idea of booking rooms, despite the fact that they are a hotel. Bridal party and family got first dibs, but we seem to have some extra rooms, so if you would like to stay there, let my mom (Katie) or Jeff’s mom (Sally) know and they will assign you a room, and you won’t need to deal with the hotel people until you get there. Katie is the keeper of the master list, so probably best to try her first. She’s at (651)249-8172. She would like me to point out that she doesn’t answer strange phone calls but would be happy to receive your texts. Whew. This system is, frankly, a little too much quirk for me, but that’s what comes with “character,” I suppose. Anyway, it is charming and probably worth the trouble (much like myself).
Yeah, so we did it through this website, which was deliciously easy, but it is pretty bougie. Since we avoiding putting things like $200 sheets on there, there was not a ton of small items. I would implore you, you classy-so-and-so, to go off-registry using your judgement. If there's an equivalent thing on the website that you think you can get for cheaper/find a better version of you have our blessing and thanks. Just mark it off or let me know or something. We have the thrift store version of most things, so we are pretty good on basics but wouldn't say no to becoming slightly elevated in our tastes.
Tallahassee has an airport. It is charming and extremely hard to get turned around in. It is by far the easiest way to get there, but it is spendy. If you would enjoy a nice long drive in a rental car and a much cheaper ticket, Atlanta and Orlando are options. Atlanta is about a half an hour further (like 4.5h vs 4h). Panama City is like 2 hours but unlikely to be much cheaper. I apologize for all this...it is....a...destination. Please have fun when you get here so you feel like it was worth dealing with.
Of course! It is not going to be hot. It may be genuinely chilly. I would not plan on swimming up here, but if you want to go further south you are invited to do so.
Not on the main buffet. If you want a veggie meal let me know and they will get you one. Put it in your RSVP if you think of it or Warddarcye@gmail.com.
Christmasy! But less emerald and more sage. Although it just occurred to me that to the colorblind (hi dad!) the colors are grey and grey.
You should know this! I am a Ward and Jeff is a Conley. If you are asking for blocks we are the Ward Conley wedding, or, more simply, Darff.
Rehearsal dinner? Sally Conley (MOTG): (517) 715-7087 Wedding? Darcy (651) 249-8173 Room bookings? Katie (MOTB) (651) 249-8172 Breadmaking? Jeff (810) 875-2264
TBD, but looks like rehearsal dinner will include some folks other than just the bridal party, so stay tuned there. Maybe some coffee and bagels on Sunday?
ASAP! The FSU winter graduation is that weekend. I’m not sure that will affect anything in little old Wakulla Springs, but flights might be a little harder. Also the room blocks all end many weeks before the wedding. I’d do it by October.
NOW! The earlier the better for us and our planning. It’s actually easier to get to than this page, so I assume you can figure it out if you’re here, but just go to the previous page and put your names in.
We’re aiming to have a wholesome sort of wild time. This will involve some inconveniences where alcohol is concerned. Also, the reception is done at 11. Which feels early, even for the wholesome. There may be some sort of after party TBD. If you are reading this and have ideas or want to plan all of it, please let me know or maybe just plan all of it.
Sadly, this seems for the best if you don’t otherwise have access to a vehicle. Getting from the airport to Wakulla Springs isn’t THAT much of a project...and I think there should be Lyfts available that will take you, but I don’t feel 100% confident.
You’d think this would be a gimme, but then again many of you got where you are in life by being good at answering these sorts of leading questions, so you’re right to suspect the answer is no. If this is a deal-breaker, please bring your own. There will be Christmas cookies! If you have one you usually make and would like to add it to them, wonderful! Let me know and I will thank you profusely.
