Accommodation & Getting Around

We recommend staying in Uluwatu as traffic in Bali can become quite congesteds. If you choose to stay in one of Bali’s main areas, that’s absolutely fine - just be sure to allow extra travel time, as Google Maps does not always provide accurate ETAs in Indonesia.

Transport

Guests can arrange transport via Blue Bird taxis, rent a car (with or without a driver), or use ride-hailing apps such as Grab or Gojek (similar to Uber in Australia/New Zealand). If you have any issues or need assistance with transport, please let us know and we would be more than happy to help.

Tips

1. Use reputable taxis or apps. Blue Bird taxis, Grab, and Gojek are reliable options; booking via the app is recommended. 2. Please be mindful of imitation “Blue Bird” taxis (e.g. Blue Fly). Genuine Blue Bird taxis are light blue and display a clear logo and vehicle number on the side. 3. Always ensure Blue Bird taxis use the meter before starting your journey. 4. Have cash and addresses ready. Cash is useful for tips or smaller providers, and saving locations offline helps where reception is patchy. 5. Plan return transport ahead of time. Late-night transport in Uluwatu can be limited, so pre-booking a ride home is recommended.
