Cole and Darcy's Mountain Wedding Ceremony

Dress for a casual outdoor evening at 11,000 ft. in the Colorado mountains, i.e. bring layers and warm coats!

Please aim to arrive around 4:30 p.m.- the ceremony will begin around 5 p.m. Note that the road going into the venue is pretty rugged and 4WD and/or high clearance vehicles are strongly suggested. Although the road is only just over 5 miles long, it takes at least half an hour from the highway to get to the Observatory. If you're coming from Telluride, the drive to the venue will be 45 minutes at the shortest, if coming from Durango, it's around 2.5 hours. DIRECTIONS: Turn east on the signed Forest Road #632 (Alta Road) and carefully climb the scenic dirt road, passing the historic mining ghost town site of Alta along the way. At around 4.3 miles you'll arrive at the Alta Lakes Campground. Drive past the campground and across the lake to the small parking area. You'll see a gated road splitting off to the right just before the parking area. Take this road, opening the gate yourself, and follow the signs to the reception spot.
