Southeastern Wildlife Exposition

In town for one weekend only, y’all are in luck! This event kicks off the tourism season in Charleston! Experience the nation’s premier celebration of wildlife art and the great outdoors. Hunt for your next piece of fine art, collect handcrafted good, witness life demonstrations and get a taste of the Lowcountry.

Historic Charleston City Market:

188 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29401

The city market features a wide variety of vendors selling souvenirs, jewelry, art, and the famous Gullah sweet grass baskets. The market is great for finding local souvenirs to bring home with you! It stretches four city blocks from Market Street to East Bay Street. You can’t miss it!

Shopping on King Street

You’ll find the best shopping and dining right in the heart of the city! King Street is within walking distance of some of the hotels you’ll be considering so it’s the perfect spot to spend the day out and about! The fashion district includes stores like Kate Spade, Anthropologie, H & M, Lululemon, and J. Crew while also sprinkling in some favorite local boutiques like House of Sage, Maris Dehart, Simply J Boutique and Two Cumberland!

Charleston Carriage Tour

Old South Carriage Company is just one of the many tour companies that offer horse-drawn carriage rides around the city! They offer a variety of tours, including a one-hour narrated carriage tour that covers 30 blocks of the Holy City. These tours are a great way to experience the historic district of Charleston, plus the horses are a great perk if you’re traveling with kids!
