Aly and Dara met during our high school years when she started working where Dara worked. They have been through various near death experiences, degrees, and milestones together. They knew it was real when we stood in front of the work whiteboard and Aly asked "Did we just become best friends?!" To which Dara responded with, "YES!"

Cristian Unzaga

Cristian is Dara's brother-in-law. He is Argentinian and a chef to the Alvarado family. He has a contagious laugh and is always looking on the brighter side. He always cooks when Stephen is in town!

Yuri is Dara's older sister. She was the first one that Stephen called about the proposal and kept it all a secret for a whole month! She loves Dara unconditionally, even when Dara is a grumpy... Yuri has been in my life my entire life! Yuri has changed Dara's diapers and endured many accidents that Dara could be the culprit of (I plead the fifth).

The Middle child and the first to be married of the Foster Boys. Christian and Abby got married two days before Stephen and Dara met! Stephen look up to him and his marriage with Abby. Stephen had the honor to be his best man at the wedding.

The first girl to join the Fosters! Abby and Dara met on the 3rd of July when Dara first met all of Stephen's family. She was a calming presence to a nervous moment. Abby introduced Stephen and I to Catan and it is now played religiously!! I'm so glad she is a numbers person because I sure am not and has helped me so many times! We bond over Catan, type A personalities, Harry Potter, nerdy jokes and mimosas!!

Brian is Dara's younger brother. Stephen and Brian met the first time Stephen had dinner with the Alvarados. Dara and Brian are 9 years apart but fight like they are twins. Dara remembers when Brian was in diapers and now he is a teenager in high school and now picks on Dara. Brian is a tactical shenaniganizer. Watch out for him.

Yasmin Herdoiza

Yasmin and Dara connected through my mentor and met during my first semester in law school. Throughout their friendship they have discovered how our grandpas could have been friends during their childhood, and so naturally we were destined to meet! They traveled to Mexico together and watched many nights of Mexican telenovelas (Teresa being one of them so you can understand the drama)!

Natalie Hawkins

Natalie and Dara met during rush week and ended up in the same sorority freshman year! They then reconected when they worked at the UMKC admissions office and became the best of friends chatting every shift they had together. To this day they enjoy chatting about their lives and they have celebrated many birthdays, gone on hikes, saturday brunches, coffee dates and dinners.

Joanna and Dara met during orientation week of law school. She was the only other lawtina from the Wyandotte area so we were immediately cool together. During second year they spent countless hours jamming out, and trying to teach ourselves civil procedure 1 in the library. Now they motivate each other, laugh so much until their abs hurt, give each other pep talks, send each other cute dog videos and voice recordings.

Robert and his wife, Paige, moved to Alaska and now have a Alaskan baby! I was the best man to his wedding and look forward to catching up!

Chelsea and Dara met during rush week and turns out during one of Dara's freshman year classes in undergrad. Dara said, "i'm going to sit here and talk to you." Aly and Dara lived with Chelsea for a brief period of time where we had many near death experiences and many more netflix specials!

Kyle's Mom and Stephen's Mom met on orientation day at the Fort Hays State's gift shop. That is how they met. It was very embarrassing. They later became friends and traveled the world together!

Heather and Dara met during orientation week in law school. They locked eyes in room 5 of the law school and since then we have been inseparable. Sitting next to each other, eating lunch together, hiding out in our offices, grabbing coffee, and failing miserably to plan surprise birthday parties for each other. She may say I am just her acquantaince but Dara graduated to Heather's friend level a long time ago, don't let her fool you.
