We first met during our Master’s orientation week in September 2017, during a Trivial Pursuit game, though the groom has no memory of it! A few weeks later, we bumped into each other at a party. The bride came over to say hello, but the groom had no idea who she was... and she mistakenly thought he was Turkish. Despite the confusion, the groom added her on Facebook the very next day, they went on a date, and the rest is history.

The groom flew in that morning from Vienna to surprise the bride at her apartment in Paris, arriving with flowers and pain au chocolat. The surprise visit unfolded with a lovely lunch, a walk through Paris, and a seafood dinner that left us absolutely full. Back at the apartment, the groom read out a handwritten letter recounting our love story and ended it with the question the bride had been waiting years to hear.

In the summer of 2018, following the completion of our studies, we moved to Luxembourg to begin our respective careers. Not long after, Kimonas pursued further studies in 2021, first in London, then in Paris. Daphné joined him in Paris for work, and though we had precious times together there, soon another chapter began for Kimonas in Stockholm. This time, we had to face more than two years of long distance. Though it wasn’t easy, those years gave us unforgettable adventures, trips to Lapland, Iceland, and countless visits that reminded us how much we wanted to share a life side by side. Finally, in November 2024, Kimonas started his dream job in Vienna and Daphné found a new job there soon after. Now, we can’t wait to begin the next chapter.
