We're aiming for garden party meets mountain campground. Think flowy dresses, linen shirts, boots, sandals, or other comfortable and nice outdoor attire. Please keep in mind that the wedding will take place outdoors on dirt, grass, and uneven ground. Stilettos may be difficult to walk in. Dress code is Semi-formal, but comfortable. We want everyone to feel dressed up while still being able to enjoy a relaxed evening in the mountains.
Our wedding colors are inspired by late-summer wildflowers and canyon sunsets: dusty pinks, terracotta, cornflower blue, warm peaches, soft creams, and natural greens. Feel free to match the palette or wear any colors you'd like, this is simply the inspiration behind our decor and florals. (but Val loves colors so if you wear something fun you'll get bonus points from her ;))
August evenings in the canyon are usually warm during the day and cooler after sunset. We recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater just in case.
Yes, parking is available near the ceremony and reception areas. We have 30 spots total for our reserved area, then there's a little more parking available at the entrance of the campground. But please carpool as much as possible!! Parking directions for reception: Once entering the campground please turn left and follow the signs to group site 9
Cell service can be spotty in the canyon. We recommend checking directions before heading up and allowing a little extra travel time.
As much as we'd love to invite our furry friends, they unfortunately are not allowed up Big Cottonwood canyon.
Yes! We will have a taco truck onsite providing chicken, steak, and vegan chorizo options :)
