We met when we were 18 working at a call center and very quickly realized that the job was far more tolerable with each other around. We were both dating other people at the time, but we became best friends almost instantly. The kind that sticks through every version of growing up. For the next 10 years, we watched each other change through every phase of adulthood - new relationships, career shifts, experimental hairstyles, late-night talks, and all the in-between moments that make a person feel like home without either of us fully realizing it. Over time, the feelings that had always been there started to grow louder, and harder to ignore. Last year, everything shifted on Dante's birthday trip to Oregon. Somewhere between the scenery, the laughter, and all those years finally catching up to us, something clicked. And now, a decade after meeting and one year after officially becoming “us,” we’re getting married!!!! It turns out we were never really *just* friends. We were two souls taking the scenic route to the same ending. <3
