Things To Do

Classic NYC Bites!

Classic NYC Bites!

Famous spot near the hotels: -Katz's Delicatessen: The quintessential NYC deli experience. Famous for towering pastrami-on-rye sandwiches that have been a city staple since 1888. Pizza NYC: -Scarr's pizza - local favorite for a perfectly foldable, thin-slice pizza. -L’industrie Pizzeria - standout pizza, but be prepared for a line. -Lucia Pizza -Mama's Too Bagels NYC: -Apollo bagels - So. Good. But be prepared for a line. It’s worth waiting for though. Recommend the bagel with a thick tomato slice or bagel with lox. -PopUp Bagels: hot, fresh bagels served with schmears for dipping. No sandwiches, no frills. Thai diner: One of our favorite Thai spots in the city! Delicious food and really fun atmosphere. Just a 5-15 minute walk from the hotels. Keep in mind no reservations, all walk-ins, so plan for a little wait if you’re hungry.

NYC Marathon!

NYC Marathon!

If you’re sticking around after the wedding, join us on Sunday to cheer on the runners at the New York City Marathon! It’s an exciting, festive atmosphere, perfect for soaking in the energy of the city!

Chinatown

Chinatown

New York, NY

One of our favorite neighborhoods to explore - filled with amazing food, colorful markets, and hidden gems on every block. Just a 10 minute walk away from Moxy hotel, it’s perfect for a casual afternoon of exploring (and eating your way through the streets). Pictured here are our favorite wontons from Deluxe Green Bo - highly recommend grabbing a bowl if you’re in the area!

9/11 Memorial

9/11 Memorial

180 Greenwich St, New York, NY

A meaningful stop if you’re exploring downtown Manhattan! The 9/11 Memorial & Museum sits at the site where the Twin Towers once stood, with stunning twin reflecting pools set in their footprints and nearly 3,000 names inscribed around the edges. You can also choose to visit the museum below ground (advance tickets recommended), where exhibits tell the story of September 11, 2001 and honor those affected through artifacts and personal stories.

Central Park

Central Park

New York, NY

Our favorite park in New York City and our weekend happy place! Go on Saturday if you’re in the mood for a chill stroll, a picnic, or just some peaceful people-watching. On Sunday, though, the NYC Marathon takes over - thousands of runners will be zooming by. Come for the energy and excitement, but don’t expect to get much casual strolling in!

Museums

Museums

99 Gansevoort Street, New York, NY 10014

If you want to balance out all the bagels, pizza, and wedding festivities with a little culture, NYC’s museum scene is hard to beat. For classic, can’t-miss art, visit the The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Massive, iconic, and easy to spend hours wandering. Modern art lovers should head to The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) for everything from Van Gogh to Warhol. The Whitney Museum of American Art has incredible contemporary art and one of the best rooftop views in the city (closest to the hotels). For something powerful and deeply moving, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum offers a meaningful look at New York’s history.

The High Line

The High Line
