Reagan and Danny met across the dinner table at the Young's house. Reagan's older sister Kendall had invited some Lipscomb students over for Easter with her family. Reagan was a high school senior, and Danny was a Lipscomb freshman from Colorado. Dinner was terrific, but the impression that Reagan left on Danny was even more so. He remembers telling his friend Sam after they left, "I'm either going to marry that girl or someone just like her" He was smitten, but....all good stories take time. Four years later, Danny was on a one-year health recovery journey living at home in Colorado. He had to drop out before he could complete his final semester at Lipscomb but was headed back in Spring 2019 to finish. Reagan was on DTS with YWAM in Papua New Guinea that same year but was now back at Lipscomb. One night Danny went to the movies and saw "Mamma Mia 2," which inspired him to text Kendall and inquire about Reagan. He finally got up the courage to ask her out in the Fall of 2018. And as it happened, her family was flying to LA to visit her sister Brittany, and she had a 6-hour layover in Denver. That became their first date (meticulously planned by Danny so that she would miss her flight and have to stay the night at the Marsh home in Colorado Springs). After that, they decided to start seriously dating once Danny returned to Lipscomb. Fast forward to July 2019 while they both were in Lebanon with the Marshs serving refugee kids with the Church of Tyre. Danny proposed at the Cedars of Lebanon with his great grandmother Julia's ring. Julia had grown up in Lebanon and emigrated with her husband Salim to the United States in 1923, so it was a beautiful and fitting place to propose.
