Rachel and Danny met way back in 2014, where they both participated in a leadership training at Camp Tecumseh. Although they didn't get to know each other at first, they reconnected (and flirted) at a Camp reunion later that year. Danny quickly fell in love with Rachel's quirky humor, competitive spirit, and caring heart. Rachel fell in love with Danny's goofiness, committed work ethic, and outgoing personality. They connected deeply in their love of sports, their love of Camp Tecumseh, and most importantly, their faith. Rachel decided to take her athletic and academic talents to Purdue University, while Danny fell in love with the community at the University of Dayton. Despite attending different colleges, every summer they could be found together at Camp Tecumseh working with kids and having the time of their lives. During the school year, they FaceTimed each night and supported each other as best they could from afar. As graduation neared, Danny accepted a job in Indy while Rachel prepared for PA school. They are overjoyed to finally live in the same city after 5 years of dating long distance. In the midst of a pandemic, Danny finally surprised Rachel with a ring at their favorite place in the world. They are so thankful to all of their friends and family who have loved, supported, and challenged them from the very beginning and cannot wait to start the rest of their lives together.
