We're getting married!

Ok sooo....we met at work…don't tell HR. Haha, all jokes aside, we got introduced by a mutual coworker friend at Rivian. At first we both definitelyyy fought the vibe that was going on because we didn’t want to casually date around the office. Well, as you can imagine whilst reading this on our WEDDING website (gasp)…that didn't last too long. On one of our hangs outside of the office with friends, at what’s known to be the classiest and most romantic bar in Newport Beach , Blackies, Leanne found herself thinking, “Danny’s pretty great. It probably wouldn’t matter toooo much if we just kissed, right?”. Well, she was wrong, but in the best way. We had our first kiss that night in a photo booth (yes, we have the evidence) and have literally spent every day together since then. As the weeks after passed and we spent more time together, Leanne would learn that Danny had already disclosed his crush on her to essentially every person he knew well before that fateful night. After our first kiss & starting to date, Danny met Leanne’s parents at none other than a Rams vs. Browns NFL game at Sofi Stadium, impressing them with his ability to get along with everyone around him and with his liver strength as Leanne’s cousin coerced him into multiple twisted tea shot guns. Now if you’re finding yourself wondering, “ew gross, twisted teas?!”, you aren’t alone. However, who can argue with the “less carbonation” justification. They aren’t necessarily wrong but, god speed boys. Okay back to the real story here. Leanne traveled with Danny to his hometown a few weeks later in Portland, OR (her first time to the state) to meet Danny’s “Cheaper by the Dozen” style family for an annual Christmas party where she got to meet Danny’s family and friends while also learning more about this new place that holds such a special place in Danny’s heart. This trip sealed the deal for both of them that as he met her family and she met his, there was a path to being in each other’s lives forever. In the months following, we took a trip to Japan & South Korea, moved into our first apartment together, and continued to strengthen our relationship and bond as we navigated the start of building a life together. This relationship has in the most cliche way possible taught us that the saying "when you know, you know" can actually be really true. We're two best friends who love to banter with each other, laugh, spend time surrounded by friends and family, and to sweeten the pot, we get to work about 6 desks apart and essentially 24 hours a day in the same room. To answer the most common question we get up front, yes, it drives us crazy sometimes but we know it won't be forever and someday we'll miss it. So we embrace it! We couldn’t be more excited to have all the people we love in Sunriver, OR in August 2026 to celebrate this journey and all that’s to come with you all! Let the count down begin!
