Is there a dress code?

Answer

YES! Formal: Tuxedos, gowns, suits, and cocktail dresses are welcome. Shoes with a thicker heel are suggested due to gravel and uneven terrain. Pink colors are encouraged!! 👛👚🎀💄🌺🌸💕 We ask that you refrain from wearing shades of white and other traditional bridal colors.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely say no children.

Can I bring guests/ +1's?

Answer

We have addressed the invitations to the people we would love to come. If you received a plus one, it was noted on your addressed invitation as “...and Guest”. Otherwise, it is only the person/people specifically named on the invitation.

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will try our best to accommodate any food allergy and dietary restrictions so please let us know.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

At this time we do not have any scheduled shuttles, if that changes we will update our website accordingly. Uber/Lyft are available to and from the venue, its is about $12-$15 from hotel to venue. Please plan to order your rideshare about 15 minutes before you leave as there maybe extended wait times. It takes about 12 minutes from hotel to venue. Please plan to arrive between 4:30 pm - 4:50 pm as the ceremony is scheduled to start at 5pm.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is a large gravel lot located at the property. You are welcome to leave your cars over night and are highly encouraged, as drinks will be served all night. Uber & LYFT do come out to the venue as it is 6 miles from downtown. Our venue is on private property, because of this all large transportation shuttles or buses must have have prior authorization to enter the property.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5pm, guest are welcome to start arriving at 4:30pm, please plan to arrive no later then 4:50pm.

What Covid precaution are you taking?

Answer

We are monitoring the current pandemic and encourage everyone to follow the recommended current CDC and local guideline. We highly encourage all our guest to get vaccinated. The venue has lots of ventilation and outside space to explore to make sure everyone is comfortable.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Our wedding will have an open bar for everyone to enjoy. Remember to tip your bartenders throughout the night.

What is the weather like in NC in May?

Answer

The average temperature in May during is a high of 78° and a low of 60°. The past few years it has been very warm (above 85°). For those not use to spring in the south it does not cool down at night as much as in the northeast and can be a little muggy out. Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony & cocktail hour will be held, in the shade, outside and the reception will be held inside the main barn. The barn is full finished and temperature controlled to keep everyone comfortable through out the night.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn & Suites Chapel Hill-Carrboro/Downtown. The discount code is JBW. All details about travel can be viewed on the travel page. Update 3/17/23: we have added two hotels with room blocks. Courtyard by Marriott & Tru by Hilton in Chapel Hill. These hotels are close to downtown but not walkable, see travel page for booking, discount code and more details

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest and easiest airport is Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) its only about 25 minutes from Chapel Hill and very easily accessible by UBER/LYFT.

Is there an after party?

Answer

We have the venue will midnight! So we don’t have an official after party planned but if anyone is still standing after midnight we can continue the celebration at the hotel.
