FAQs

Question

How do I reserve a room/cabin at Point O'Pines?

Answer

Please contact Danny or Erica and we will reserve a room/cabin for you. Payment is due at check-in.

Question

Does Point O'Pines accept credit cards/personal checks?

Answer

All major credit cards are accepted, as well as cash. No personal checks.

Question

What time is check-in/check-out?

Answer

Check-in begins at 11:00am. Check-out is 12:00pm on Sunday.

Question

Where do we check-in to our room/cabin at Point O'Pines?

Answer

When you arrive, drive all the way to the end and temporarily park in the circle. Check-in is in the library. The staff will then direct you to your room/cabin and advise you where to park for the weekend.

Question

Are the rooms/cabins at Point O'Pines equipped with refrigerators or kitchens?

Answer

No. We recommend bringing a cooler for any drinks/snacks that you would like for your stay. As this is not a traditional hotel, there are not ice machines either. However, there is a Stewart's right off of exit 25 if you need ice for your cooler.

Question

Do I need to bring my own bed linens and towels if I am staying in a room/cabin onsite?

Answer

No. All rooms/cabins come with bed linens, towels, and hand soap.

Question

What should we bring if we are staying in a room/cabin on site?

Answer

- Coolers (the rooms/cabins do not have refrigerators) - Toiletry items (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, etc.) - Hair dryer (if you need one) - Warm sweatshirt/fleece, pants, winter hat, gloves, and/or blanket for the campfire (it can definitely get chilly in the Adirondacks at night) - Active clothing and sneakers if you plan to enjoy outdoor activities during your stay - Hiking boots and backpack if you plan to go for a hike in the Adirondacks - Raingear/umbrella (hopefully you won't need it, but better safe than sorry!) - Lawn games (sports equipment is provided by the facility, however feel free to bring additional games if you would like) - Camp chairs if desired (there are not any chairs inside the cabins)
