Unfortunately, we were unable to reserve a block of hotel rooms because it is a holiday weekend. That being said, we encourage you to book lodging early! Salida and Leadville are about 30 minutes away from Buena Vista and offer additional lodging options. Click "View" below to explore lodging options, key locations (i.e. venue), and activity suggestions. There are also many AirBnBs, VRBOs, etc. in the area!

Travel Note

Airport Info

Denver International Airport (DIA) is the closest major airport. It is about a 2hr 30min drive (without traffic) from DIA to Buena Vista. Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is 1hr 45min drive to Buena Vista. COS is a much smaller airport but has flights from Chicago, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, SLC, Vegas, Phoenix, LA, and San Diego.

Amtrak Bus

Want to skip the rental car? There is a bus that runs from downtown Denver (Union Station) daily, and takes ~2.5hours. The bus to Buena Vista departs Denver at 1:55PM. The return bus departs Buena Vista at 8:15AM.
