Things To Do

We are delighted to share Charlotte with you! In the groom's words, "the city, she shines." Whether this is your first time in the Queen City or you are a Charlottean yourself, we want you to enjoy your weekend in the city that we both love. Within Charlotte, we recommend: - taking the tour at the Billy Graham Library - walk the Rail Trail in South End - stroll through Freedom Park - ice skating at White Water Center - explore the NASCAR Hall of Fame If you have more time and are looking to extend your stay in the Carolinas, we recommend a drive up to the Blue Ridge mountains. Asheville, Blowing Rock & Brevard are a few of our favorite mountain towns. We love to hike when the weather allows or drive part of the Blue Ridge Parkway, especially at sunset.

Things to Know

-HOTELS- As you plan your trip, we recommend staying in a hotel in the Uptown neighborhood, which is centrally located to both the ceremony venue and the reception venue. There are many wonderful hotels - we have listed information for several of them below. -HOMESTAYS- If you prefer AirBnBs or VRBOs, we recommend the neighborhoods of South End, Dilworth, Uptown, Plaza Midwood and South Park. These areas are all centrally located to the venues as well. -CARS- If a rental car is your preference, driving around Charlotte is simple & parking is easy to come by in most places (Uptown is the exception). Ride shares are also widely available if that is your preference.

Travel Note

Wedding Day Parking

There will be plenty of parking both at the ceremony and the reception. Feel free to car share, car pool, or use a parking space - all are great options! -CEREMONY- Parking can be found across the street from the front entrance of the church. Street parking is ample as well. -RECEPTION- There is a designated parking lot in the front of the building.

Travel Note

Wedding Day Activities

There will be a 2 hour gap between the ceremony and the reception and the drive between the two locations is only about 20 minutes. The ceremony is located in South End, where there are many things to do between the two main events of the day. Here are a few of our recommendations in South End: - take a stroll on the Rail Trail in South End - grab a coffee at Bitty & Beau's - enjoy an ice cream at Jeni’s - have a beer with city views at Trolley Barn - ride a scooter around the area or into Uptown

Flight

CLT

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) will be your go-to airport. It's conveniently located about 20 minutes from the venues and central to the city. There are many flight options across many airlines each day.
