1 John 4:19
Danny was the very first person Annie met when she moved to Charlotte in the summer of 2021. He took her to play tennis and show her her new city. They hit it off right away, setting the tone of what would come!
Making the most of each and every chance they got to see each other, Danny & Annie fit many memories into a year. From beach weekends at Annie's family's to camping trips in the mountains, these two surfed, swam, hiked and biked throughout the Carolinas. Meeting families was quick to happen. Seeing hometowns followed soon after. And they began introducing each other to dear friends across the country. Danny & Annie filled their year of dating with little trips to spend time with the people they love in the places they love. They learned new skills together, mostly golf & tennis. They taught each other skills too. He learned how to high jump, make focaccia bread, and make ceramics. She learned how to surf, mountain bike and play pickleball. Both of their worlds expanded by meeting the other, and at the same time their overlapping connections and life experiences made the world feel smaller too.
On a trip to Utah to see Danny's friends in Ogden and Annie's friends in Salt Lake City, Danny found a pocket of time in between to take Annie to the top of Snowbird and ask her to marry him. In typical Danny fashion, the camera was ready to go for the moment under the disguise of his friend and her photography hobby... and the champaign was hidden in her baby's diaper bag. He coordinated with Annie's friends to have a small celebration at the bottom of the mountain. He had it all planned out. We are so grateful to our friends, Reina & Jase for the precious photos we have of this moment and to Emma, Amy and Molly for the sweetest celebration to kickstart our engagement season.
