If you ask Danni...In December 2015, I received a message from Ruby, my high school best friend and Matron of Honor, asking if I’d be interested in being “some guy’s” date to a work holiday party. Ruby was going with Tim, who is not only her now-husband but also Thomas’s Best Man. I had no idea who this guy was or what he looked like, but I thought, why not? I arrived and there he was—Thomas, the only one wearing a Christmas sweater, which I found endearing. When he introduced himself, his charming English accent, chivalry, and handsome looks won me over. I had one of the best nights of my life—at least, the parts I remember—at Dave and Buster's of all places. Thomas then asked me out on our first real date. He picked me up in his 1987 BMW 325is and swept me away to Sonny’s, a place that, if you’re not familiar, serves the best Italian food around and happened to be the way to my heart. And the rest is history! The past nine years have been the greatest adventure of my life. We’ve shared countless experiences—both the highs and the lows—and have always stood by each other’s side. I can’t wait to celebrate our love with you all and to continue our journey! If you ask Thomas….I had just returned from my year-long stay in the UK a few months prior when the Lexus Annual Christmas Party was coming up back in December 2015. The weekend before, I was at a get-together at Tim’s house (my best man) when I pestered his girlfriend (now wife) Ruby to find me a date to the party. She obliged and the day finally came. I waited eagerly to see who I was being set up with for what was historically a night that not many people remembered. Danni walked in and we hit it off immediately! She was so kind and smart and a hell of a lot more put together than myself at the time. The night went on with a ton of games, and possibly one too many drinks, but Danni never left my side, no matter how much of a fool I made of myself. The next day I quickly asked Tim to give me Danni’s phone number and I don’t think we have gone a day without speaking to each other since. A few dates had passed while Danni was still on her winter break from college and the dreaded day finally came when I knew she would have to go back. We spoke on that final Sunday, and I was extremely happy to learn that she felt just as perfect with me as I did with her. So I popped the first of three integral questions in a relationship. Nine years, three combined degrees, two apartments, and countless adventures later, I popped the second integral question. I can’t wait to celebrate the asking of that final question with all of you!
