This outdoor mall includes a variety of shops, eateries, and a Ferris wheel! Not to mention, if you've heard of Honey & Butter Macarons, you can find their shop here.
A simple Japanese bakery, with great tea & coffee drinks!
A brewery with a very cozy, chill setting. Kin's cousins first brought her here and she loved it, and she knew Danny would too. (And he does!)
It's Disneyland.
A semi-outdoor food hall with a few shops, mini arcade, and brewery. We recommend Steel Pan Pizza & steak from Primal Cuts!
Danny loves all the Steelcrafts. There's another location in Long Beach and another in Bellflower if you're in the area.
Danny sought this place out for Cris & Danielle, who are avid Disc Golfers. We came here to test out his fresh, new discs. But it's a nice open park that's good for some fresh air.
Have you ever had Filipino food? Come try some here! Even Ate Irish approves of it. Danny likes the bangus sisig & Kin likes their sugba kilaw. But if you'd like to keep it safe, lechon kawali, sinigang, and lumpia are good dishes to start with.
At one time, Kin and her pioneer partners/sisters/bffs frequented this spot for their boba breaks during service. Now, Danny and his siblings can't visit without making a stop here for a good tea drink!
Danny can't stop thinking about Pepper Lunch, a Japanese restaurant that serves its dishes as it sizzles. Folks, if the steak is slightly rare-looking, don't worry. It finishes cooking on the hot plate. Call Danny if you have any problems.
Danny stays around this area when he's in town. He suggests a chai latte with oatmilk from Portola and one chicken egg puff with sriracha from Bite Mi for a "perfect breakfast.". Skip Blue Bowl. :p
We love Boba Guys and the aesthetics by the beach.
Kin's closest friends shared this spot with her, then became a congregation favorite (for picnics), and Kin took Danny and his friends here for a nice walk along the coast. Not far from this point is a trail that leads you through Terranea resort if you're feeling fancy. Catch a sunset here, it's lovely!
If you want to be near the water without a huge crowd, this is a nice "low-key" place. It's ideal for a stroll or jog, and is within walking distance from a handful of eateries. While there is street parking, you can also park near "The Riviera" (try Hi-Fi Espresso's overnight blueberry oats) or by Miramar Park. Locals also like to grab breakfast burritos at Phanny's (cash only last we heard) and enjoy it while overlooking the Pacific.
Kin will tell you to try the one in Kyoto, but if you can't make it there just yet, visit the branch in Little Tokyo. Danny and his siblings really enjoyed the ramen and everything else on their menu. If you want more ramen, try Shin-Sen Gumi Hakata Ramen too, just around the corner from Ikkousha.
