Things To Do

Cleveland has a few areas where things tend to cluster into the zones described below. The individual recommendations are also sorted by area. Downtown: This is where the wedding on Sunday and reception will be held. A nice downtown area with your typical downtown attractions. Has a lot of nice (and free!) walking tours that are well done. Contact Matthew Schwartz for more details. Ohio City: A neighborhood immediately West of the Cuyahoga River, it's a nice mix of residential with more things to do. Kind of like Brooklyn but less yuppie (but yuppie for Cleveland). W 25th Street has a nice strip of bars and restaurants that is on the same block as West Side Market! University Circle: Case-Western Reserve University is a major university situated on the East side of Cleveland and is where all the museums are. Also the campus itself is a nice place to explore and enjoy a sunny day. Remember it's Cleveland, end-to-end is about 10-15 minutes between these areas. Enjoy!

They also have a gyro stand that's been written up about several times in various newspapers. PRO TIP--Enjoy your lunch upstairs! Near the entrance to the market is a stairwell that you can take up to a ledge that you can sit on and look out over the whole market
