Alyssa Geisler
Maid of Honor
Alyssa is Danika's big sister. She is six years older and was a big influence on Danika. Danika got her love of the Decemberists, her interest in Volleyball, a propensity for reading too much, and maybe a few facial expressions from her big sister. Alyssa moved back to Indiana with her wife, Megan, a month before Danika and Adam moved out to Vermont because both Megan and Danika started PhD programs at the same time.
John Schaefer
Best Man
John and Adam grew up across the street from each other and have been friends for 20+ years. Growing up together, John has been a large part of Adam's life - from backyard sports, videogames, and so many family events (camping at the lake, parties, swimming at John's grandparents) to more creative endeavors such as creating and filming funny skits or writing songs and playing in a band together. John is currently launching his career in music.
Ellery Berlen
Maid of Honor
Danika and Ellery met the first day of college while waiting to get help connecting to the internet and setting up printing access. They lived together on the same dorm floor as freshman and liked it so much they lived together for the rest of college. Ellery has made it out to Vermont 3 times to visit Danika and Adam. You might recognize her photography skills from the mountain top proposal photos. Ellery lives in Indianapolis and started her career as an ICU nurse shortly before the covid pandemic started.
Viv Tucker
Best Person
Viv and Adam have been friends since highschool. They drove home from school together nearly every day and got up to lots of shenanigans (the inciting and recurring incident being the inception of Milkshake day where they would create new kinds of milkshakes every year, tailgate dances in Big Daddy, and jamming too loudly to Sam Cook, Meatloaf, Led Zeppelin, and Jimmy Hendrix). Viv and Adam share a love for music and were in a band together.
Jesse Geisler
Bridesman
Jesse is Danika's older brother. He is 3 years older, and had to put up with "sharing" his first cell phone with his little sister and then later driving her to school, even though she was not a morning person. Danika got to inherit his first car, only after Jesse had covered it in bumper stickers. Jesse lives in California with his wife Kirsty. On Feb. 1st their daughter, Riley, was born and Danika officially became an aunt.
Alisa Klepach
Groomswoman
Alisa and Adam were college roommates and on the first night of such arrangement, they stayed up way too late playing Super Smash Bros and saved the apartment complex from a raging dumpster fire.
Jen Beers
Bridesmaid
Jen and Danika met at Waycross summer camp when they were 14, right after Jen moved to Indiana. They were good friends throughout high school, and stayed in touch through their work on the Episcopal Church Youth Steering Committee despite living hours apart. Both ended up going to Indiana University and lived together Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year. Jen now lives in the DC area.
Jeff Scott

Jeff and Adam met in college while distracting each other from math class and realized they had several other classes together as well (including martial arts). From there, their friendship blossomed into all sorts of wonderful nerdiness (D&D, GenCon, in-depth analysis of various fictional characters).
Jasmine Schwalm
Bridesmaid
Jasmine and Danika met their senior year of college when Adam and Carson, Jasmine's husband, were roommates. Jasmine and Danika bonded over Jasmine's goodest pup, Kairi, who influenced Adam and Danika's choice to adopt Miri pup. Danika was a bridesmaid and Adam officiated Jasmine and Carson's wedding. They now live in Colorado with their beautiful baby daughter, Sophie.
Nick Falzone
Groomsman
Nick and Adam met in college because they were both taller than the dorm's shower stalls and the best remedy for that kind of awkward is dorm cafeteria breakfast. From there, they hit it off going to house shows, soldering together a Frankenstein boom-box-in-a-backpack, and playing D&D together.
Coleman Laguzza
Groomsman
Coleman and Adam met through Nick (above) since they were roommates. Coleman took Adam to a lot of house shows and taught him how to Skank (ska dance). Eventually, Coleman moved to Japan for a few years and hiked the historic Nakasendo trail with Danika & Adam for five days through the mountains of Japan.
