Chris and Natalie swiped right after Natalie noticed a very cute dog on Chris's Hinge profile. Vowing to only ask the dog out, she did. Chris insisted on being the chaperone, since he said that Jezebel was aptly named and would go home with anyone. Natalie agreed. After Jezebel failed to play with any dogs at the dog park and spent most of her time getting belly rubs, Natalie thought she deserved a drink at Wundergarten. Over a few beers, Natalie and Chris discussed their same master degrees (Public Health), love of hiking and distain for each other's sports teams. After a few more dates, Jezebel cemented herself as the third wheel, Chris met Koshka and the rest worked itself out. (It must be love if Natalie is willingly marrying a Ravens fan and Chris accepts Natalie as a Steelers fan)

Natalie and Chris planned a 2 week trip to Greece for “once the world opened back up”. Natalie didn’t want to jinx it by hoping for a proposal, even though she really hoped for one. (Although she also thought Chris would be too practical to bring a ring overseas.) However, Chris had been planning for weeks. He used his grandmother’s diamond (which was Chris’s greatgrandfather’s diamond) to design a ring to match Natalie’s mother’s wedding band (which was Natalie’s greatgrandmother’s engagement ring). This involved taking pictures of Natalie’s ring while she was sleeping and much consultation with his mom. While every stop in Greece was the most romantic, Santorini really took the cake. One night after motoring around the island visiting wineries and beaches, Chris and Natalie went to the roof of their airbnb for a drink. Chris got a special Santorini-made craft beer and while looking at the stars over the sea, got down on one knee. Natalie said yes before he could finish asking.
